If I could give a negative star I would. The place clearly changed hands. The menu limited and the quality terrible and overpriced with skimpy portion sizes of bbq chicken butterflied and thin. One side with dinner no vegetable unless you chose it for your side. Chicken loaded with fatty pieces. The Hoffa chocolate cake was cut in half of the normal size piece and their cakes are pre-sliced to a good size and I was charged over 7.00. I used to be a regular and now I'll never go back.

Very disappointed in the quality of the food and staff demeanor tonight. The side salad was wilted and the dressing that they served out of a bottle was mediocre but worse the bottle literally was sticky to touch. The only gluten-free item the staff could recommend was the steak tips. Medium well was burnt, overcooked. Worse with almost every single steak tip being inedible due to fatty gristle. My knife couldn't cut through it. The mashed potatoes were overly salted, I couldn't really taste garlic or potatoes. Not a good impression but the staff working at the front bar made it worse, They never asked how the meal was the entire time. Kept asking us to move closer to keep the bar open for others but seats were obviously available. I don't know, I asked for water three times before I finally got it. To add to it, the whole place is I incredibly loud making it harder to have an enjoyable conversation. Barely ate 1/4th of my meal and only took it home out of habit. The two stars are for ease of parking and nostalgia after really loving this place years ago.

A classic spot in the area. It is absolutely huge with two bars large seating areas and a takeout spot by the host stand. The bar can get crowded but I've never seen more than 3 groups seated beyond the bar high tops in the dining room so you can certainly always get a table. Beers and drinks in general are great! Pretty big menu, I've personally not enjoyed any of the food I've gotten as it all feels bland and kind of nursing-home-taste-bud cooked EXCEPT FOR the mozzeralla sticks. I could eat twenty plates of those.

Hit or miss when I eat there. Sometimes it's great other times just ok. The waitstaff is friendly and mostly

A great place for a party. We had a baby shower there and could not have asked for more. The food was delicious and the staff were phenomenal. From start to finish, Paul and his team, Tina and Dennis were professional and pleasant, constantly checking with everyone to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was served hot and fresh and plentiful. We were given access to the room to hang decorations (they even provided a step ladder!) hours before the party. We got great feedback from our friends and family about the food, the service and the place itself.

I don't think that the service could've been anymore slower or disingenuous than what we got. We had to get up 6-7 times to get our own food and drinks. For a Saturday night it was quiet but that's probably because everyone knows how awful their service is. If you're looking for a decent waitress this isn't the place for you

Went here because the reviews were good, but did not have a good experience.Seats and plates were dirty. Onion rings were coated in a very odd dense flour. Sizzling steak did not come on a sizzling plate. Some of the food was okay.Do not get a half and half pizza. They overcharge toppings with off menu pricing (basically double charge as if you got the topping for the whole pizza). So our half and half topping pizza with 3 on each side ended up over $20 in just toppings. I asked for explanation but they said something convoluted about pre tax amounts. Didn’t fight it but was disappointed in overall experience

Super disappointing baby back ribs - quite dry, not very soft, weird sauce that's way too sour with very little bbq flavor, slightly charred, under salted, amd smoky. Tasted more like a bad hamburger with cheap sauce poured on it than like proper ribs.Mashed potatoes, broccoli, and chicken wings were all just okay.Restaurant was very dark and you could hear the train every few minutes.Just go to J J Grimsby's instead.

Went here with family. Atmosphere was interesting. The food was delicious as well as the alcoholic beverages. The food all came out at the same time even though there was 5 of us.

Been going here since they first opened! Excellent service & food as well as a very cool "vibe" as the atmosphere is great now that there's 2 bars since they've renovated a few years ago. Highly recommend this place to everyone from couples to families with kids.Parking: 2 small on-site parking lots, one on each side of the restaurant. But there's a parking garage (paid I believe) just down the street nearby & a few meter parking spots on the street out front tooKid-friendliness: Kids are welcome here, kid-friendly menu as well as railroad theme decor for those who love trains or history in general tooWheelchair accessibility: Handicap & wheelchair accessible

Pearl Street is good for a night out. Good food, drinks and atmosphere. They have Karaoke at 10:00 PM, some good singers but volume is low.Parking: Parking lot is small and street parking fills up fast. MBTA is short walk away Malden Station.Wheelchair accessibility: Sidewalk level entrance, ramp inside for dining area.
