Four of us were there last night and had an absolutely fabulous time. As far as attentiveness, at least four servers were constantly checking on us to make sure all was well and that we had everything needed; additionally, great recommendations were made. Also, the owner chatted with us several times. All in all, the food was incredible and prices reasonable. The atmosphere was that of an old Italian restaurant which, in my opinion, made us all feel welcomed. Each of us had different entrees, and all were perfectly executed.Well done!

Do not waste your time calling to place an order. I have tried several times in the past year and no one has ever picked up the phone.

A hidden treasure in Marblehead. Keep an eye out for the specials as they were nice. Abundant pours on drinks and fairly quiet even at peak times. Great staff and an unexpectedly large bar area!

Wonderful Italian restaurant! Food is absolutely delicious! Chicken Marsala is the very best! Lovely atmosphere and charming staff. All very accommodating. I live in the area, and my friend and I go as often as we can. Looking forward to the next time. Everything on the menu is top notch! Highly recommended by myself & my friends!!!

My boyfriend ordered the pork chop and said it was one of the best-cooked pork chops he has ever eaten. Thick-cut, breaded and crispy on the outside, very juicy on the inside, and served with a delicious chopped salad tossed in a light and tasty homemade vinaigrette of some sort. Would definitely go back!

Been coming here for years. Friendly staff, nice pour on a decent wine. Usually reliably good food. I was surprised at the reaction to my complaint about my entree. I ordered the haddock Francese and was served a dish quite smothered in lemon and at least 2 tbsp. of tart capers, served with roasted potatoes (3-pieces, soggy and uninspired) and 4 thin pieces of asparagus. I politely pointed out that I was mistakenly served haddock piccata. You would think I'd be offered a new dish but instead, the server merely said "I'll let the chef know" then proceeded to ignore us for the rest of the night as if I had offended him personally. Diner be warned.

On vacation from NC and staying in Salem this restaurant was recommended by our hotel and it was FABULOUS! the chicken parmigiana is to die for and the cocktails were amazing! Our server was Julie and she was one of the best waitresses I have had on my many work trips in a very long time friendly, paid attention to detail and down to earth our dinner was served in a timely manner and reasonably priced the atmosphere is great I will definitely be back!

I ate at Cafe Italia this evening in Marblehead with a dear friend. I have never been so disappointed in service and food. We waited for 10 minutes before anyone asked for our drink order. Our waiter Adam was dismissive, rude and absolutely awful. I have never experienced that type of service. I eventually mentioned to him how upset I was and also spoke to the owner. She listened and I believe spoke to him because his attitude changed. A bit too late for me. The owner should have done something to make up for the treatment. Marblehead is a very small town and word travels fast. I don't plan on going back. This is my second bad experience at Cafe Italia and will be my last.

Food was sub par for the price. Calamari was good, but pasta dishes left something to be desired. Not bad, but could be better.

The best bar service in Marblehead, with delicious daily specials and scrumptious bread rolls.
