Portions are very small, it took ages to get our entrees and when we finally got them it was salty. The baked platter says 2 shrimp, 2 scallops, I only got one of each. Very dissatisfied with the time it took to get the food and the taste of it. The waiter did his his best, being the bar man, waiter and sometimes the hostess.

WE EVENTUALLY WALKED OUT! One raw bar app, one shrimp cocktail both with some kind of sweet chili dipping sauce that would go with a fried calamari or popcorn shrimp. Two goat cheese salads, neither with goat cheese. Asked for cocktail sauce and lemon, asked for goat cheese. Waiter returns with cheese in two small cups, which is poured on the salad only to discover its Parmesan cheese. Waiter is called over and tells us “there wasn’t goat cheese tonight”. Um, OK, bring us another menu please. Waiting…waiting….Comes back with cocktail sauce they must have had to run out to purchase, and no menu. We won’t bother ordering a replacement for the salad at this point…moving on. Main course entrees: steak tips, two salmon and one scallops. The steak was well done (supposed to be medium rare). Sent back. The scallops are mostly lobster ravioli in a bowl (fine), but they are frozen inside! Send back. Ask to see manager…waiting…waiting. Finally get up to leave. “Manager” walks over from the kitchen and says only “Just go.” Surreal. We ended up having a nice dinner on the other side of town. Only more than an hour after our original reservation time. Glad we’re no longer paying for a babysitter. What’s crazy is we had been to Fish before the pandemic. It was busy and the food was great. This was like coming to a different restaurant. And the kitchen is open-style, so we could see them smiling and shaking their heads as we got up to leave. WTF?! Stay away.

The menu was tatty; the cocktails were listed on a torn and stained piece of paper. The number of items on the menu has been significantly removed and the raw bar had no oysters. We decided to leave without eating; this was one of favorite restaurants before COVID. it is obviously struggling now.

This was always our goto restaurant however since Covid things have changed. Place was very quite for a Friday night and have to assume the food is the reason why. Three out of four meals were not very appealing. Seared scallops with ravioli looked like soup and more like ravioli with a few scallops. Mahi-mahi looked to mixed with another fish and served with risotto that was like soup. It's too bad as we always loved this place.

We made a reservation for New Year's Eve (which was confirmed on open table). When we showed up the restaurant was closed. The website and the voicemail for the restaurant both stated the hours and they should have been open. Extremely frustrating an left us scrambling. So this review is based on the restaurant being closed without notice.

Such an awful dining experience at Fish last night. The service was slow, the rolls were hard as rocks, they ran out of sides and just gave us something else without asking first if it was OK, food was undercooked in some dishes and overcooked in others, and charged us more for food and drinks than what was listed on the menu. This was my first and last time there. Don’t waste your time or money.

I work in Marlborough, and this used to be one of the best dining options in the city. However, I’ve taken coworkers there twice over the past couple months and have been embarrassed to have chosen the dining location. The food is not good and the service is equally bad. Cocktails have never been great here, but they used to have a very good wine selection - no longer. it’s unfortunate, but this is an establishment I won’t return to

It s really too bad but this place went from nice to a disaster. I've dined here over the years and loved it. I also understand that places are struggling with staff so I do have a lot of sympathy for restaurants and understand service is slower then it use to be. Service was terrible to the point of waiting 45 minutes to be served a drink. Food was terrible. The menu is a tiny fraction of what it use to be. It's unfortunate that things have gone downhill.

7:30 reservation, not really busy, and the special was already sold out. We ordered the tuna and the scallops. Tuna was pretty good, and the rhubarb quinoa (I think) that came with it was also okay. Four small bay scallops came with lobster ravioli. Seems like they should name the dish "Ravioli with a bit of scallops," especially considering that the ravioli was better than the scallops. The place doesn't seem quite as shiny as I remember pre-COVID-19. Service was okay. The waiter fired the main courses before we finished salads, forgot the side of broccoli we ordered, and was anxious to pick up the check before we left. The recommended wine was good. Solid B- for the price.

I went here with my Family for my wife's Birthday and the experience was horrible. First of all the staff is unfriendly and the portion sizes were so small I couldn't believe it. They use bay scallops instead of ocean and charge you the same price. I get we are in a really bad inflation but thats no excuse for shrinking the size of the plate and over charging. Food is also really bland and Manager came over and said he would comp one of the meals and never did. Really unprofessional. Never going back.

Have been wanting to go here for so long and was finally able to try out the happy hour for the $1 oysters. Found out there was a limit of 6 per person which should be disclosed on the website. We decided to try something else from the menu and we decided on the charcuterie board and all I can say is that it was a sad excuse for a charcuterie board. $22 is ridiculous for what it was, and it came with three pieces of half stale bread. I basically could have made something better at home with less than what they are charging. Completely ridiculous and for sure will not give this place a second chance. Extremely disappointed, I really had high hopes for this place.

Not sure what is happening at Fish, but if they're planning on closing, they should just close. Was shocked at the condition behind the bar. Dirty. Sorry to see this. Fish has been a downtown staple for years. It's a great location. Will be anxious to see what happens. Will miss Fish, but won't dine there again in their present condition.

Me and my husband really love this place. They have really fresh seafood the freshest I’ve ever had even at the beach. We went there for a second time ever and there was a bit of a slow service but they were packed. And for our long wait they hooked us up with some freebies and that was fantastic. And the waiter (actually the Bartender) Josh was just my favorite. He was so nice and he was just dealing with all the tables at once and he was even going back-and-forth to the kitchen to the other waitresses/waiters etc. and then he had to make sure that everybody over there was happy and everything was copacetic. He did a phenomenal job and I think he should get a raise because he was not a waiter but he did the job of a waiter and A bartender all at the same time. Awesome job great dude super personable very nice guy.

Worst dining experience in a long time!! Our tuna was cooked completely wrong. Waiter couldn't even understand what I was asking. Husband ordered captain and Coke and was given something that was definitely not that. The waiter confirmed it came from the captain Morgan bottle so the restaurant must be refilling their bottles with crap. The bathrooms were dirty and while we were eating an employee decided to take a smoke break and propped the door open. The whole please reeked of smoke! Disgusting. Will never go back again and not sure this place will be in business much longer
