I expect by the reviews that this place makes great pizza. But I would stick to take out. We stopped for a late lunch around 3:30. I was disappointed that the dining area was very plain, old , grungy feeling and cold - like the old service station dining areas. OK for waiting for your pizza, not nice for dining in. We ordered a best ever grilled cheese and a salad. It took a good 20 minutes for the food. The grilled cheese had a little cheese and a lot of chopped tomatoes that would not stay in the bread (apparently added after grilling). The bread or butter on the bread tasted refrigerator burned, and so made much of the sandwich inedible. The salad was good enough with generous toppings. Overall, an OK meal but not what we expected and definitely would not dine in again. I was chilled through from the cold by the time we left.

Do NOT order from online. Maybe they're better with a call in, not sure, and not trying to find out. We placed online order (guessing we were the first ones since order number was 1) at 11a when they opened. We are just now eating it at 1:10pm. All we ordered was individual slices of cheese pizza, fries, and chicken salad wrap. Nothing too long to cook I'd assume, not sure, unless your preparing fresh food from a chicken farm out back. Food was cold after the two hours we waited to receive it. Not even eatable, after being starving waiting for food at work for two hours within a two mile radius. Mind blowing, not recommending to anyone in hospital or anyone I know to place order from here. Was excited to try new local place and was let downUPDATE AFTER REPLY FROM OWNER:Prep time and delivery online must clearly be the issue, since food was not even "warm" but cold... From previous reviews and complaints on people's orders who took a long time also, looks like the running response or excuse is car trouble with drivers. We also called after an hour and a half (15 minutes after our "supposed" delivery time) to check on status, no one communicated any trouble or delay to us, just that drivers were out with orders the now. And still proceeded to wait an hour to then seeing 5 minutes before we received it at 1:10pm that our driver was now in a vicinity or red circle that was getting smaller and closer and that when he finally called us and he was here.UPDATE X2: after owner commented here about “refunding our order” we were fully charged on this order !!! Never mind the food was cold and not worth a penny but they also clearly lie on their reviews to make it seem like they have customer service. When their service is poor all around . From the food to the “customer service” all lies and junk. Save yourself from ordering from here !!!! And your money

Ordered 2 sandwiches. Got home and there was 1 sandwich and 1 order of onion rings. Called to complain and they admittedly acknowledged their mistake. I asked for them to deliver my missing item and they said no, that I could drive back to get it. I said then I would be left with my sandwich and fries cold. I asked them to remake the order so I could have hot food. They agreed and I drove back. They handed me the missing item only. I told them it was unacceptable and they said it was the only solution. I told them to refund me and they gave me a slip of paper that said nothing about a refund and told me it was a refund. I'm waiting to see if the refund goes through. This is not the first time I've had issues with plum tomato and I won't be back again.

The pizza had a thin crust which is what attracted us to go there. We were hoping for a NY style pizza and this was not it. The sauce lacked any flavor and the cheese was plain mozzarella. We put as much garlic and red pepper flake as possible but we couldn't make it taste any better. Also couldn't find a salt shaker anywhere. The Greek salad was good which is why I gave them two stars. Service was excellent.

Have ordered from Plum Tomato in the past and the food has been decent, but just ordered two small pizzas ($40 total) and they were awful. Thin crust is one thing, but this crust was like overcooked/burnt cardboard. It tasted like what I would imagine a frozen grocery store pizza (have never had one) that had extra toppings added and then left in the oven for way too long would taste. I'm willing to pay for good take-out, but $40 for two small, flavorless, overcooked pizzas is inexcusable.
A few days ago i had a slice, two bites in i had my memory flashback to eating a giant slice somewhere in east boston or the north-end when i was a child like sensory memory recall ,i was there again…There is no pizza around this area thats real italian-american pizza done the way its suppose to be. I was grateful to get my choice from a fresh pie during lunch time

I love Plum Tomato pizza however, apparently they no longer deliver to our address even though we are only 3.8 miles away. Not sure what changed since only a few weeks ago they used to deliver to us. Very inconvenient and doesn't make any sense that they've limited their delivery to less than 3 miles away. Disappointing!

Really good pizza and pasta. Been ordering delivery and takeout for awhile. I recently ordered from their site, and when I received the confirmation email at 5:15pm I realized it had ordered the wrong pizza. I called at 5:17pm to ask them to change it. They said, "the pizza is already in the oven, there is nothing we can do." So this is the last time I order from them, they lost a customer because they didn't want to waste a $15 pizza. I guess customer service isn't their forté.
