The sushi was fantastic. I based going there solely on the google review and it did not disappoint. Specifically, the salmon was amazing. Probably the best sushi grade salmon we have ever had. I wouldn't say the atmosphere is anything out of the ordinary, the service was good even though only one waitress for the number of tables. She was quite attentive and once ordered the food came out fast and presentation was great. If you want good sushi, I highly recommend Matsuba. Probably an excellent take out option and pricing was on par or slightly better than average in my opinion.Parking: There is a lot within a couple minute walk.

Not only is the kitchen open until 11, a marvel in the greater Boston area, but the food is fantastic! The grilled fish is so tender and comes with a great dipping sauce. All the flavors are balanced well. And the menu is really large and varied! You can get ramen, sushi, curry, yakitori, grilled foods and noodles all here! 10/10Plus the interior decor is so cute!!

Had ordered a few times through a delivery app and loved it. So we decided some items would be even better hot off the grill. Cozy dining room in the back, with a large menu. We loved the yakatori options, and followed up with ramen and sushi. Half the tables were occupied early on a Sunday evening, so I'm hoping they will succeed here in Medford. A great restaurant addition to the Square

I made a reservation in advance but we were seated in the hallway close to the restroom. The restroom smell bad and I could smell it while eating the food... This is really bad service and would never return.
Good food with the standard sushi fare you'd come to expect. Everything was tasty and the price was right.I do wish they offered cocktails instead of just sake and bottled beer. Additionally, some music could be good in the dining area.Here's an overview of what I got:Tempura appetizer - honestly the fried vegetables here were the highlight of the meal for me. Everything was good but those were amazing. So crispy and the vegetables were perfectly cooked. Vegetables were honestly better than the shrimp. Id order the tempura every time.House sake - probably the best house sake I've had at any sushi place in the local area. Complimented the fried vegetables amazingly.Salmon avocado roll - exactly what you'd expect. Tasted fresh.Eel avocado - Same, exactly what you would expect, except I do think the sauce they used is not as strong as other places I've tried. Still tasted great.Yellowtail scallion - the yellowtail was a lot more mild than other rolls I've tried. It's usually a bit fishier but this one was quite meaty and buttery by comparison. I think this speaks to the (higher) quality of fish they use there.Vegetarian options: Very basic vegetarian fare, your vegetarian friend will have options here but maybe not the place I'd choose to go if I was vegetarian. The vast majority of the menu is fish based.

The place recently opened up and had to check it out. I do enjoy the diverse menu, tried sushi, yakatori and some apps. Everything was very good. I will be returning soon. Tuna Tartare was delish!!!

I came here to expose my sister to Izakaya food that I loved when I visited Japan.Vegetarian options: They have some yakitori vegetable skewers and there was a few vegetarian appetizers like edamame and spring rolls as well as a vegetarian ramen option.
