The only complaint I have is that we sat directly across from the back door so every time someone came in, our party of 6 would get the draft. Most of us dined with our coats on because of that. Everything else was great.

This is the third time I have been here and this is my favorite restaurant!! I have been in the restaurant industry for 35 years and I must say this is the best! Tanya is a great waitress, and she makes you feel like home and part of the family. The calamari is the best in the country...melts in your mouth. Prices are great and you always have a huge bag of leftovers.. if I could give more than five stars I would!

I had a good experience at Giacomo's the food was good and a good value. My waitress was excellent. The drinks were very good. The restaurant is a bit noisy louder in the bar area than the front of restaurant.

A hidden gem in Melrose! The service was wonderful, the selections were enticing, the value was superb. It is a bit noisy, even on a slow night but otherwise an overall well worthwhile experience I'd recommend and return again.

The food and ambiance were great. Our server was excellent . I would definitely return. We had veal and chicken parm , both were very tender and flavorful. The calamari was delicious and cooked to perfection!

Really has gone down hill. Our house sauce was bland and watery. The problem with this location is the consistency which they do not have. My last experience there I left half of the food on the table . ( I have been a regular for the last 4 years ) afraid to say I won't be going back and or at least for quite some time. Quite disappointing.

I feel bad leaving a not-so-good review (to be fair, the service was great and my appetizer was pretty good. Also, the wine is inexpensive, and they’re generous with their wine pouring!), but we got two different red-sauce pasta dishes tonight, and they both tasted like the sauces came from a jar (we joked that they tasted like pasta you’d get served on an airplane - but seriously, they did) - very, very, very, very salty and just lacking in a core hearty sense of the simple flavors of the tomato, garlic, etc. - why is the Amatriciana sauce here tasting like a nuclear sodium experiment? Also, both sauces were kinda watery. As an Italian-American, I know that I'm probably picky about Italian food, but the MA suburbs should be hot-spots of good simple authentic Italian/Italian-American food. (Felicia’s of the North End in Stoneham, now closed, did it right - inexpensive hearty authentic Italian food). Just very disappointed with - and offended by - the pasta we had.

I ordered the swordfish which was good, but small. It came with a small potato cake and a mix of green and red peppers. I think what could have made it better would have been a vegetable instead the peppers. And two potato cakes since red the piece of fish was small. My husband had veal Marsala with pasta which was very good. Dessert was hazelnut cake. A little skimpy on the initial bread basket... 3 slices of Italian bread... we asked for more. All in all it as good

Even with a reservation we had to wait 50 min for a table for two. And the host really didn't even know how long the wait would be. The whole situation was mismanaged and the reservations ahead of us (also had to wait at least 30min) were all frustrated. .

Everything was super expensive & the quality of the food was terrible! I had chicken parm & the chicken was so rubbery that it was inedible! My wife had Pasta Alfredo & I thought that meal was a meal that you couldn't screw up, unfortunately I was wrong & it was horrible also. Finally, they upcharged us for getting a specific type of pasta!!! $8 extra which is insane! It's safe to say that we won't ever be going back.....

Top-notch wait staff! It's probably the best I've ever had! Authentic Italian food that's been carefully prepared to perfection. My only concern was that it was a little difficult for my disabled son to walk down the narrow, one-person aisle that was slanted. Next time, I would inform the restaurant beforehand and request the "flat floor" as you enter the door. This place is superb!
