We drove into melrose for turners and while walking past Rising Eagle decided to try it. I had been putting it off as I just wasn’t sure I’d like the dining model but this was just lunch and figured why not. The host and staff were incredibly helpful and seemed like they loved the opportunity to welcome a new guest, I appreciated the difference in service as it avoids the sometimes overbearing waiter/waitress but the runners are still happy to jump in if you ask for something. Wonderful atmosphere, felt very authentic and reminded me of a mix between fine steakhouse and a clean pub. The food was very very fresh and tasty, the same quality I’d expect at turners.

Another 5 star meal at Rising Eagle. Had haddock, chowder, pretzel and fries today. All were excellent!

Rising Eagle is on of our go-to places in Melrose. We have two young kids and the staff is always very accommodating and laid back. It’s usually fairly easy to get a table and the service is fast. I’ve had most things on the menu and everything has always been great. Good drinks and draft selection too.

Absolutely love the atmosphere, tastefully decorated. But with saying that, didn’t like the service at all. Don’t see the reason to have the QR code ordering unless it’s a QSR. That voids the guest and server interaction. No one asked if we need any drinks refills or desserts etc… food is alright. Just there is no wow factor to be back.Love their sister restaurant Turner’s though

Not for their food but I called on my way home and asked if they had the hilltopper salad dressing and they checked in back and said yes. I drove an additional 20 minutes in traffic with my 2 year old for them to tell me they don’t have it. Make it make sense, I can’t see them selling out in 30 minutes or if it was last one they had they could have told me so I didn’t waste my time or cold have held it for me. Pretty annoying

This place is a fantastic restaurant. Great for small families, but I come here with my wife and elderly mother a couple of times a month. It’s a unique service model where you can order your food via mobile for a QR code or off the menu. There are many helpful and friendly staff that’s always attentive and have a wonderful disposition. Oscar in the front of the house is amazing. The food is amazing and has an ole New England Flair from the post roast, salmon suppa, to the French Onion Soup and steak tips, it’s all great. Haven’t had a bad meal yet. Also have vegetarian meals. The ambiance is great as well- New England Revolution theme replete with a roaring fireplace, trivia and cool facts on the walls. It’s the same owners as Turners across the street. Cant say enough good things about this place.

I have nothing but only an exceptional review. The food was fresh, flavor-full and we had a great menu to choose from. Atmosphere was relaxing and so "Boston". My friends and I loved it and had a great time.

Food was excellent, service was good. You need to place your order by scanning the QR code at the table and it was difficult for my older parents to navigate the process. An option to order via the table server would make it a perfect experience.

The food was excellent and great atmosphere. Only complaint is the stools. Uncomfortable, need back support and larger stool. Also, no Michelob Ultra or Jack

Love this restaurant so much as a part of our Melrose downtown! The ambience is great, very warm and cozy. My only feedback would be that there could be more fish and vegetarian lighter options on the menu, such as a veggie burger, or grilled vegetable sandwich or a hummus plate or poke stack!

I may have talked about this place before- it is a terrific place. Obviously very much frequented by the Melrosians. Staff it's terrific, personal, attentive-they do a fine job of balancing friendly interaction without prolongued timeThe food has been excellent each time we have been here. Shoutout to the tater tots!!! I am not generally a big fan of 'tater tot' but this restaurant has a fantastic, cheesy, crispy, mmm!, plate. As with the last time out cocktails we're beautifully balanced. I have become somewhat of a bourbon.lover - there were 2 of us-each of our drinks let the particular Bourbon 'shine'. The ambiance fits it's name - giving a good impression of an old colonial type Tavern. Definitely worth the time & a delight to our taste buds!

Went here due to the fact I had a gift card. Learned that everything was done through an app. Basically was told to order everything through here which is fine, but it allowed the waitress to become MIA. For example, back servers served the food then just basically scurried away. Felt like no one really cared about you. I ordered the Pot Roast and said to a back server, "We'll be sharing this" they basically were like "cool" and walked away. I ordered the berries and cream dessert. Picture on the app looked like it had a lot of berries and things on it. The dessert came out with 4 blueberries on it. The waitress didn't take the order for it, so she probably had no idea I had ordered it. I ate it because she was MIA again for around 15-20 minutes. Let her know as a precaution that it was a disappointment due to the fact it had 4 blueberries. Gave the waitress a below average tip since it felt like the app took away from the service and she really didn't do much for us and the app was most of what did the work. It felt like I was eating at a cafeteria.
