“Every once in awhile I wish I had an extra star to give. You know, reach up into the inky sky and grab one for those special places like LL Inn. I stumbled onto this place by pure coincidence. A couple on the street suggested late one evening and demanded - yes demanded I sit at the bar. What a stroke of luck! I ambled through the side entrance and down steep stairs to the sounds of conversation and laughter and of those smells of wonderful meals past and present. I was fortunate to be seated at the bar - the hostess checked with the chef - and I joined a bunch of regulars. I had no idea what I was in for. Really, no clue! Our bartender John is a wonderful host. He served me a drink, kept my water glass full, and made the menu easy to navigate. He recommended the specials, warm mushroom salad and the lamb stew - both exquisite! My dear readers I am at a loss to describe all the flavors swirling in my mouth from these magnificent dishes. And thank goodness for the delicious garlic infused bread with soft butter to soak up the sauces! Had to get every last drop. Desert? Seriously??!! With a hollow leg maybe. If D is your thing I suggest sharing and a salad and entree or come just for the dessert which is my plan. Now I only wish they serve breakfast... Enjoy!“
