Great food, ambiance a little quirky. We went this past October on a long weekend trip. First off -- food is amazing. I would go back for that. I love beets and mozzarella, and those appetizers were a treat. Then it got interesting. As we waited for our entrees, we started to notice that the upstairs where we were seated was much quieter than the downstairs. The wait also gave us an opportunity to experience the Euro-techno music that they were oddly churning into the room at low volume. They say worry is the enemy of patience, so we remained calm and our dinners finally arrived after a long pause. Our theory -- they forgot! In their defense, the salmon was excellent, and they comped us a dessert. Will return but perhaps sit downstairs next time.

A family favorite for many years now, the new owners have carried on the old traditions with additions of their own, increasing the overall experience! The menu accommodates all, the food is top quality, the staff friendly and conscientious. The Best Cocktails! Always a treat, definitely a place to visit when family and friends are in town, and you want a great dining spot on Da Beach!

I’ve had some of the best meals and memories at Dune. The food is always out of this world and the services is impeccable.

One of the best meals we had in Nantucket. Great service and food. The setting is wonderful. Don't miss this experience!

Yes it's expensive but the food is very good. The portions are reasonably good too.We shared the cantonese clams and got the pork chop & blackened salmons as our mains. The clam portion was a bit underwhelming but the flavor was there for sure.

First time to nantucket! This place was so. expensive.I had a small kale salad, a glass of wine, a soup and a martini - after tip it was $170.oh and an espresso martini.but still. what? soup & salad. 3 drinks.oops, and carrot cake.anyway. The food is good, but I ordered the cheapest things I could find and this is how we parted. I thinks parting shall be our last.

It's hard to get a good read sitting in the covered patio. The food was good, the service was fine- not too charming, just neutral, so I don't know if it's worth the price point.

The experience was great! The food tastes good, the flavors are interesting and well a balanced. The plating and presentation were exceptional. I love how the plate is not crowded and well arranged! Our server was attentive. Desserts need improvement.Dietary restrictions: Plenty of GF, Vegan or DF.

Outstanding cuisine skilfully prepared and presented, however service greatly let down the dining experience overall. We had to ask for cutlery. Ask for our wine to be served after the first course arrived. Ask for our side order. Ask for our wine bottle to be left on the table as a solution to not being topped up. Lovely desert served but had to ask for cutlery again. The bartender kindly stepped in to fill in our service gaps. $300 + plus dinner for two for one appetiser, one dessert, one cocktail, inattentive service. Clubbing music in the restaurant did not match the Nantucket mature foodie clientele.

Our one disappointment of all the restaurants we visited during our week in Nantucket. First, it was really loud in there. Couldn't have a conversation without almost yelling. We were there during "Restaurant Week" and most restaurants, as did Dune, had a Price Fix dinner menu. They also offered an a la carte menu. I wanted the scallops but I was told by the server "no scallops". He didn't explain beyond that and I could see the woman seated next to me had scallops. There was absolutely nothing else on the menu I wanted. It was really kind of a boring and disappointing menu. I ordered the beets and really did enjoy them. And I ordered Calamari. Which I also thought was very tasty. My husband did not like his choices. Our server was pretty disinterested and not very helpful or friendly which also colored our experience. We were given the cake for dessert which came with the Price Fix menu (though my husband and I both ordered a la carte. It wasn't that great. Too bad.

we didn't enjoy any of the many dishes we ordered, unfortunately :/ really wish I could say otherwise for a $250 dinner. plus my wine was bad - as in spoiled! probably would skip this one next time.

sat at the bar. drinks were 1.5oz measured and some spilled out when poured so you get even less. wine was half what you get normally. don't come here if you want a real drink.
