This is straight up a seafood market and they don't sell lobster as a meal. They can and will sell seafood (lobster) cooked. Cooked and shelled lobster runs about $60/lb. There are whole claws and tail pieces in it. I saw a guy walk in and pick up a tray of whole cooked lobsters and then walk right back out, so that's an option too. Fast and friendly service. Giant free parking lot. There are other great stiff like halibut and salmon. There is no line to get in, order, pay or get your food. You walk in and you're right in front of tue counter, give your order to the friendly person saying hello, and then in no time at all, you'll be paying for your goods and be on your way. No fuss; no muss.

Freshest fish tacos and fish and chips at reasonable prices. Would be great to have a sitting area to enjoy the food as its only take out but we sat on the bench outside the store to enjoy the food. Definitely worth coming back.

Ordered fresh lobster here before but this year seemed a little different and we suspect it was frozen rather than fresh. Had a really mealy texture.

Stopped by the shop to pick up something for dinner and the lady suggested swordfish tips and recommended I kabob them with peppers and onions. THIS WAS THE BEST SWORDFISH IVE EVER HAD. Amazing recommendation, super friendly staff, delicious fresh seafood. I could not have been happier!

Amazing fish and chips (and they even traveled well as takeout). I wish we had gotten more fish and less chips (it was intimidating how we fries we got) but the price was amazing ($8.50) so I can't really complain. We got the small fish and chips and it came with 2 fish. The large comes with 3 fish but is twice the price; the math doesn't make sense. But I wouldn't hesitate to come back. And their tartar sauce was the best I've ever had. We also got the fish tacos and they were awesome.

I love Nantucket Bay Scallops and when the scalloper I normally order from couldn't supply me, he recommended Glidden's. The service could not have been more professional and the scallops fresher and more delicious. I ordered 10 pounds and they shipped them overnight to NYC. When they arrived, they were properly packaged in one pound bags and packed with cold packs in a reusable styrofoam container. Absolutely delighted to have found a new source and a local company to support in Nantucket. THANK YOU to the scallopers, the staff and the owners. Great find.
Best little shop! Staff was so knowledgeable and helpful. We picked up some fresh ahi tuna, smoked sea scallops, and some steaks. Everything was absolutely delicious. Can't wait to return and try their lobster dinners!Make sure you pick up a container or two of their monkey munch too- absolutely addicting.

This continues to be family owned and operated. Seafood is the freshest and their specials on lobster dinners are hard to beat. The steamers were perfectly cooked, the sweetest, and devoid of sand. The twin lobsters were absolutely delicious.

About a month ago I stumbled across Glidden's Island Instagram page, every picture looks more scrumptious then the next. Glidden's made it on my vacation list of places I needed to visit. First and only mistake... I wish I went more than once and not just on my last day. Service was friendly and hospitable. The lobster roll was full of plump warm sweet lobster meat, the brioche was fresh and buttery, all topped with a delicious lemony aoli. For $23 dollars not only was it a great value but it was delicious. (Served with fresh, hot French fries.)
