A friend and I have the Valentine's Day prix fix menu last night for dinner. It was only $35 for three courses: a starter, lobster and filet minion main course, and dessert. I had the spinach salad which was totally delicious. The filet was perfectly cooked -- I haven't eaten steak in over a year and I finished the entire steak -- great demi-glace! I couldn't have dessert because I can't eat cow and sheep dairy, but my friend said the berries in sabayon was a perfect ending and my cheesecake that she too to her husband was outstanding. I think this is the best value and one of the tastiest meals I've had on nantucket all year!

The mahi mahi was outstanding over the potato and chorizo hash with spinach, butter and saffron aioli. Such a tasty dish with perfectly cooked fish. My husband had the rigatoni bolognese which he said was fantastic. The owner was serving so the service was great. It was very quiet and pretty with the little lights that look light tall candles. The best restaurant that's open in the winter!

Island Kitchen is one of our Nantucket favorites. Breakfast, lunch or dinner they do a great job. Their catering program for special events and weddings is first class. The attention to detail and enthusiasm to help is contagious. Patrick, Maggie and the team are top notch. They do a great job.

Amazing place for breakfast. Bright and clean small restraunt. Kinda tucked behind other buildings so you might miss it. Plenty of parking. Huge portions but really tasty.

Excellent dining for the whole family. Food is imaginative and varied; great to dine in or take out. Reasonable prices. Definitely on our rotation now.

A great experience in every way. Variety and quality of dishes was amazing. Everyone in our party found a choice they loved. We found the spinach dip appetizer to be the best we ever had! It was not the typical heavily-cheesed dish that tastes like it came from a freezer,!rather it was smooth and creamy and the spinach was tasty. We also love the wine list, which offers choices that suit the fare and satisfies every palate. Along with her warm and friendly attitude our server was attentive and accurate.

My wife and I enjoy brunch at island kitchen. Our go-to meals are the açai bowl and the Greek omelette with biscuits and island potatoes. They also served delicious soups and dinner entrees. I would like to commend the host and waitress at this restaurant for their kindness and customer service. We look forward to returning. As there were fewer people outside in the patio, it provided a more intimate setting for us. Whether you are with the family or on a date, this is a great place to visit and enjoy food on island.

The service was wonderful with a friendly, attentive wait staff and though we arrived early they did their best to seat us quickly. There were two things we were not happy with. The first is that out of six of us at the table, two of our meals were cold. They did rewarm the meals but a restaurant of this quality should ensure the meals are warm prior to them being served. The second issue we had was that the lobster bisque was scalded. We have been to this restaurant previously and were very pleased with our dining experience. This experience will make us question if we return.

Had a great lunch over at the Island Kitchen last week. We enjoyed omelets out on the patio. The service was great and the surroundings delightful. After we finished and went back to our bikes for the next stop, my bike lock broke and would open. The staff went out of the way to help us get the lock off so we could be on our way. Without their help, we would have been in a huge bind. Will definitely stop by next time on Nantucket and would recommend for your next trip.

Delicious food! Good service, love their outdoor seating area, just a good experience overall.

We found the dinner menu selection somewhat limited, but the waiter explained that the scallop dish was Nantucket scallops, and NOT the Sea scallops listed on the menu. This was excellent news, as scallop season had just started 2 days prior, and anybody know truly knows scallops is aware that fresh Nantucket scallops are world-renowned for their sweetness, tenderness, and excellence overall. One of us ordered that entree. But as the waiter placed the entree plate of Sea scallops on the table, he said he had assumed they were Nantucket scallops because they had been the previous night, but they weren't that night. He added, "I hope that's alright," and quickly dashed off. Although any waiter could have made a mistake by assuming something about a menu item, he should have told us they were Sea scallops when he learned that fact. He definitely should have come back to ask if that substitution was acceptable before he served it to the table. He never gave us this information, but simply dropped off the substitution and never again said anything about it, nor did he apologize. That was the primary issue we had that evening, but I'll also note that the restaurant was very noisy, the waiter spoke extremely fast, then quickly moved away from the table as if he had better things to do than answer our questions. In my opinion, he was quite rude. To pay Nantucket prices for a Nantucket delicacy is one thing, but to pay those prices for something we didn't order, and never being given the chance to make another selection was wrong. It was an extremely disappointing meal, and we do not intend to eat at Island Kitchen again any time soon if at all.

Altea our server was awesome. The food was amazing. Just as amazing was the speed in which they delivered our food to the table - under 10 mins. It looked very busy when we arrived but waited only about 10 mins. The cab ride (it's kind of a long walk) from Crabby Cabby (hope you get Captain Tony) was great. We came in on the hy line ferry from Hyannis. So that's basically where we took the cab from...$17 for the 3 of us and definitely worth it. Check this restaurant out- if your experience is as good as ours you will LOVE IT!! Crabby cabby # 508 332 9444
