Every once in awhile I wish I had an extra star to give. You know, reach up into the inky sky and grab one for those special places like LL Inn. I stumbled onto this place by pure coincidence. A couple on the street suggested late one evening and demanded - yes demanded I sit at the bar. What a stroke of luck! I ambled through the side entrance and down steep stairs to the sounds of conversation and laughter and of those smells of wonderful meals past and present. I was fortunate to be seated at the bar - the hostess checked with the chef - and I joined a bunch of regulars. I had no idea what I was in for. Really, no clue! Our bartender John is a wonderful host. He served me a drink, kept my water glass full, and made the menu easy to navigate. He recommended the specials, warm mushroom salad and the lamb stew - both exquisite! My dear readers I am at a loss to describe all the flavors swirling in my mouth from these magnificent dishes. And thank goodness for the delicious garlic infused bread with soft butter to soak up the sauces! Had to get every last drop. Desert? Seriously??!! With a hollow leg maybe. If D is your thing I suggest sharing and a salad and entree or come just for the dessert which is my plan. Now I only wish they serve breakfast... Enjoy!

Great food and outstanding service. The acoustics leave something to be desired when it is packed with people.

I’ve had better French food at road side stalls in Louisiana. They like to play up the “we’re better than you and we know better” but the food is mediocre, the staff is clueless, and, frankly, underwhelming. It’s a tired establishment of uninventive cuisine with dead-eyed staff.Recommend you go elsewhere

Enjoyed a family celebration downstairs in the bistro. One of our favorite spots on Nantucket. Food & service always spot on. Definitely a local favorite.

Truly amazing. One of my favorite restaurants in the world. Not as much of a "scene" as some of the other restaurants on island, in a good way. Just amazing food and service. Some highlights are the tomato salad, rainwater clams, softshell crabs, and sundae.

Amazing experience! With a hand on my heart, i will say that this is one of the best tasting foods that i tried on the island. The place is cozy. Vybe is a traditional Nantucket style . Place is known mostly with owder crowd (50+).We were wondering for a wild if we would actually fit in this place because we are pretty young for there, and we do fit great. We are foodies, and we were in on a search for good food and dissent service. The food was amazing. Every single thing/dish that we tried was delicious. They do not have a coctail menu, but they were able to make us what we wanted.Desserts were also delicious. The service was great.Prices were also great.Definitely place that deserves to be visited more often .Vegetarian options: Great salad assortmentKid-friendliness: I would not bring my child here. This is fine dining, a place where mom and dad visit for a date night.Parking: Free street parking but almost impossible to find park space.

From the onset, the exexperience was exceptional. The staff was friendly, courteous, and welcoming. The wine selection was extensive and reasonably priced. The menu was impressive. The food was well prepared with a stellar presentation. The lobster selection was exquisite. All in all, Le Languedoc should be a must dine restaurant when you visit Nantucket. It was a marked improvement from our dining experience at a supposed well rated restaurant the previous evening.

Had the most wonderful meal, great service & perfect background music. The chopped salad was so flavorful & fresh. I normally don’t eat chicken in restaurants and this one was outstanding. The Chocolate pots de crème was memorable. Small & cozy.

Their pot de creme my personal favorite! Every single staff member is absolutely AMAZING! They are nice, funny, and so helpful. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough!
