We had dinner here last week. The food was fabulous. We had the bolognese and a special, bay scallops in a carbonara sauce with gnocchi. Both very good. Had a nice bottle of wine, reasonably priced. Service was excellent. Highly recommend.

As anyone who visits ACK regularly knows the restaurant scene can feel like a jungle, and Queequegs is a true oasis. Classy, professional services paired with a casual island vibe and divine food leaves nothing to be desired, and everything to be experienced. We usually celebrate our anniversary at Galley Beach, but this year decided to try something different, and Queequegs was our choice. We started with the fun outdoor bar while we waited for our perfect corner seat on the outdoor patio. The hostess was kind, and bar was the perfect mix of locals who know and the rest of us :). Our dinners were cooked to perfection and the wine selection on point. We appreciated the manager making an appearance to welcome us. Don't hesitate to eat here, book your reservation early and enjoy the best of ACK dining.

We found this restaurant to be one of the best on the island. Service was good and food was very good. I had the Short Ribs, excellent! It is small so you will need reservations. We dined at 6 different restaurants on the island and this was one of two we recommend.

Lovely dinner. Really, really great food. Very small room but excellent and well-worth it. I enjoyed sitting inside with the heat of summer but on cooler nights the porch might be just as pleasant. I do not often great beef but with Kevin's recommendation I got the special and my steak was cooked to perfection with a lovely dark sauve on top.
After researching and reading many reviews for the numerous restaurants in Nantucket, we opted to make a reservation nearly one month in advance at Queequeg's. The phone conversation proved very hopeful as the person promised a very special booth that she described as most of their diner's favorite. We were excited to come to dinner here for our visit in mid-October. The main reason we opted for this restaurant was due to the many reviews that described it as a cozy and romantic bistro setting. The day before we arrived, we received a phone message from them stating they could no longer honor our reservation because a large group had now booked out their entire restaurant at the same time as our reservation - remember...we reserved one month earlier. They only offered to move us outside to their patio bar, or we could opt to be seated in 'Town', their sister property that apparently shares the same menu and kitchen. Sadly, after five attempts to call them back to discuss I was only able to leave messages. I never received any response and upon arrival into Nantucket we went directly to the restaurant to speak with someone in person. We were flexible to a point, perhaps an earlier time could have worked. But they refused to offer anything acceptable and basically blew us off - we were no longer important as they now had their entire restaurant booked instead. In many years of dining and traveling, we have never been met with anything so disrespectful and we would NEVER recommend this restaurant. A couple was dining right next to us when this in person conversation took place, and she said to us....'bless you'. She had overheard the conversation and how they opted to not honor our month-long reservation - completely disrespectful and disgusting - she agreed. Do not waste your money here - go elsewhere.

It's fantastic. The end. Small, often crowded, but it's a bar....AROUND A TREE. Pretty straight forward. Friendly staff, solid drinks and food from Town, if ya want. This is a go-to any time we're on the island.
Great place to grab a drink at the tree bar!
