A true disappointment. Our reservation was given away.Once were seated one of us received a drink not made properly. But took so long to arrive she drank it anyway. We wanted to order appetizers first and were told we have to order meals and apps at the same time. We got the arroncini. They were glorified fried mozzarella balls. Not a grain of rice inside. One of us got the duck. It was chewy and overcooked. Sent it back. Got the chicken Milanese. Which was delicious. 2 of us got the haddock which they thought was over cooked. One of us had steak which was perfect. And also the bolognese was delicious. Our waitress was great. It was very expensive for five people. It was super busy. They had some good points but overall I wouldn't go back. Sorry

The Farmhouse was a great experience! The food was delicious and made with great quality, fresh ingredients. The staff all work together and are so attentive and friendly. Definitely looking forward to returning!

Ambiance and crowd was good. Food is too pricey compared to portion sizes. I got the Halibut where the piece of fish was tiny. I meant tiny! Came over mash potatoes and in a broth. Could have been too much for the kitchen to add a baguette or something similar to sop up the broth? In addition, we waited close to 40 minutes to get our meal. Good thing we had good company we haven't seen in awhile. Made the time go by but still would have liked our meal to come out sooner.

we had a table of 7 and everyone was happy. we started with the mussels and ceaser salad and both were delicious. I ordered the halibut and the the sauce was so yummy and the halibut cooked perfectly. others got the fish tacos and were happy . there was also a chicken and arugula salad that my husband liked. the service was beyond good. we also loved a house red wine and the desserts omg. the place, ambience is so nice. the only bad thing is I live far away.

This place was fantastic. The food was amazing - we had a number of apps and they were all delicious. We had a larger group and were seated near the back door opposite the small kitchen. I was impressed by what they put out from that little space! The entrees were hard to choose from because the options all sounded amazing. I got the roasted chicken and it was fantastic. I will say that my fav app was probably the fried pickles or calamari -- my fav side was the truffle fries, SO SO good. Friendly service and fast too. I'd come back!
Great meal, almost everything was season spectacularly. Not a quiet place, so if you have any difficulty hearing it might be tough. Service was courteous and attentive. We'll happily go back.

Excellent food and drink, but uncomfortable chairs, unheated single service restrooms, very slow service detract from the experience. Tight quarters with narrow corridors for both servers and clientele. Meh.

Don't take my 4 as there's anything less than it was very good! A 5 for me requires an all around amazing experience v. what I would expect. It's my second time there. My guests were from Needham and go often. The staff is very friendly. The atmosphere is casual and warm. The food is very good. I've had the halibut both times and it was well prepared. Two of us split the Caesar salad but it really is sized for one. I will be back.

Excellent food. My friend and I enjoyed the About Damn Thyme gin cocktail, short ribs and chicken that were well prepared and tasty, and a Barnyard Brownie for dessert. No GF dessert option except vanilla ice cream. Service was pleasantly adequate. Our table was immediately across from the entrance, so each time a new patron entered a chilly winter breeze skirted past our feet and table; not pleasant. Definitely worth a reservation, but try to avoid the table at which we were seated, at least in winter.

We had a great meal at The Farmhouse. Our appetizers were outstanding (calamari, tuna tartare and beet salad). I had the bolognese for a meal and it was amazing. We also got the fish tacos which were very generous and delicious.
OMG this place is amazing. The food was incredible and the service was excellent. Everything was mouth watering. I could not wait to share our experience at the Farmhouse with the people on Facebooks Needham Restaurant group!

The food itself was excellent, and the service was good, but the tables are so close together that it makes hearing the conversation with the person you are with impossible. We also felt very rushed probably because we only got salads and a Mocktail. We've never had a bad meal there. They are always delicious, but probably won't go back because the tables are just way too close together, too loud and during sick season with people sniffling 1-2 feet away, it isn't comforting.

Service was good. We had a great server who was upbeat and positive. However, the food was decent at best. The portions are way too small for the prices. The Halibut portion sizing was abysmal for the price ($38). The size was approximately 6-8oz. The highlight would probably be the truffle fries ($12). The shrimp tacos had good sized shrimps, but I would not consider them good considering each taco had 3 tiger shrimp each with a lackluster tortilla. The tortillas didn't seem hand made either nor were they warm. I would not pay ($29) for these "tacos". The shrimp was good as you can taste the meatiness. However, spices and flavors didn't come through as the spicy aioli was primarily mayo. Overpriced, would not recommend. There are better options.

Great place great meal. seafood was very fresh. Was disappointed to be rushed thru our whole meal wait staff was pushing us to finish so they could get in another party, that really takes away from the dining experience and enjoyment of your meal. Especially when one member in our party was not finished yet and others were they seem to force them to finish by almost taking their plate while still eating so they could clear our dishes, that was rude some people eat slower than others. This seems to be the new thing with restaurants, despite great food not sure if I would go back there???
