We had the best meal of the year at last night’s New Year’s Eve tasting menu to close out 2023. If you’re in the Berkshires - The Old Inn is a must. This truly is my favorite restaurant of all time. Thank you to Peter, JP, Meredith, Jess and Eric for making our New Years Eve so perfectly special.

What a fantastic dining experience for Christmas Eve. Only candlelight made the mood so festive. The food was delicious, especially loved the winter salad and tenderloin, and our waiter was charming and attentive. We'll definitely go back.

We arrived a bit early and got seated right away. The Christmas lights outside the Inn were spectacular! Jesse our waiter was very helpful with our decisions and multiple people checked in on our experience during the dinner. The choices for the 3 course fixed meal were great and they accommodated our vegetarian diner as well. Definitely would return again!

A wonderful dinner in a special setting. Just right for an occasion. I look forward to finding a next reason to go there.

Candlelight, the smell of old fires, and a welcoming innkeeper straight out of central casting: this was a delightful refuge on a gross night. The prix fixe menu was decent value and especially for such high-quality, inventive dishes; even the coffee was excellent. I'm rushed but did not want to skip praising these folks: it was a delight without flaw.

Excellent setting and service. Quite good food, though some flavors were pretty ordinary and unsophisticated. One meat dish arrrived at just barely above room temperature, so disappointing. Overpriced in general, but in addition we ordered a dessert outside of the prix fixe, and they charged $20 for three small (1-inch) scoops of gelato. I might try it again.

I spent a few days in the Berkshires and was looking for a nice dinner for my partner's birthday - Old Inn On the Green was perfect. Romantic, rustic, and tremendously prepared dishes. Our waiter was fantastic and helped guide us through the menu. They were attentive yet not overbearing, a hard balance to strike. I was craving an amaro after dinner, the waiter gifted us a pair to make the night extra special. I hope to return someday!

My parents took my grandma out to The Old Inn On the Green for her birthday and I was blessed to be able to celebrate with her. I was amazed at how beautiful the restaurant was and it used to be a house. It used to be a stable and then someone purchased it as their home. I learned that many years later the restaurant owners bought the property. The exterior was gorgeous, and the inside was beautiful too. The meal started off with a pre-amuse-bouche, sliced cucumbers with creme fraiche, and caviar. The pre-amuse bouche also included a date slice that had goat cheese and crushed nuts. For the amuse-bouche, we were given two very large white beans with a delicious green sauce and a red sprout. For the appetizer, I ordered the Caesar Salad and lobster pasta that I split with my mom. For the main course, I ordered the steak and short ribs. I then ordered the sorbet with mint tea. To say that the food was perfect would be an understatement. The lobster pasta was creamy and filling. The Caesar Salad was made just the way I like it. The salad dressing was also creamy and the anchovies were salty and delicious. I also loved the short ribs and steak. The steak was juicy and rare and the short ribs weren't on the bone but if they were they would have fallen right off. I really enjoyed the meal, the atmosphere, the kindness of our servers, and how beautiful the restaurant was. Parking was also easy. I'm glad that I got to experience dinner at The Old Inn.

If you are coming here, it's probably for the ambiance. My second time coming, but mostly to enjoy the setting. Beautiful setting in an old rustic building, lit by fire and candlelight. But that is where the magic ends. Food is very average for the price. It's a prefixed menu, I had the lobster pasta as first course which was good but an additional $5 on top of the $90 ish for dinner. Main course was halibut which was dry because it was overcooked and under seasoned. Dessert was bread pudding, which tasted stale and was very dry. They also served the smallest scoop of ice cream with it which was a miss because it was all that balanced out the dry dessert and the rich sauce. There were 5 of us so we got to sample most of the dishes between us all but no one really was excited about any of their dishes. The server was also very unengaging, he did nothing wrong but never chatted with us and service moved very slow, there were multiple times when we were just waiting to order or get a drink where we didn't see him for at least 10-15 minutes. Would I come back a third time? Probably not, one you see the setting unless you want to see that again, no need to come back.
