Paula did an outstanding job providing our Holiday luncheon today. Given the current Pandemic, we were in search of an option that would allow us to maintain social distancing. Paula suggested Bistro Bags and this was the perfect choice. Appetizer, main dish and dessert packaged in individual bags labeled with each person's name. The choices were great and as always the food was incredibly fresh and tasty. It was enjoyed by all! Thank you Paula and staff at Carry Out Cafe!

I was SO happy to have found Paula at Carry Out Café to cater both lunch and dinner for our family for my daughter’s baby shower during our weekend away at the Blue Inn on Plum Island! Although most guests were via zoom, our family and a couple of close friends got to enjoy a fabulous baby shower lunch and dinner. Our appetizers included a charcuterie platter, asparagus wrapped in filo, and a mezza platter all beautifully presented and delicious! Lunch was tomato soup, grilled cheese, mini grilled Cubans, and salad. In spite of the crazy weather that day, Paula said she knew our fridge would be pretty packed, so, she made a second trip out to deliver dinner! The chicken pot pie with cornbread topping and roasted vegetables was AMAZING! Paula helped me a lot with menu planning. She made suggestions that were very helpful to someone like myself who tends to over order, and I felt like I was dealing with a friend through the whole process. I highly recommend reaching out to Paula for your catering needs!

I visit this spot a lot since I work in the area. I have to say their customer service is always awesome and they keep the spot well organized constantly. Rates are fair and they serve generous portions.

Was very disappointed with the place, heard it was a local place to get good food, Being a vegetarian i searched the menu and to my surprise there was nothing I could eat. I couldn’t believe it so I asked and was told there was only vegetarian quiche, just a heads up for you vegetarians out there, don’t waste your time going there

I hosted a dinner party for 11 in the barn at the Spencer Pierce Little Farm in Newbury for friends and family. Carry Out Cafe catered the event. Paula was recommended to me and she worked with me to come up with a easy lite summer menu including a wonderful cheese board, deviled eggs, spinach salad, chicken with fruit chutney (wow that was great!), orzo & vegetable salad, power green slaw, and peach-blueberry shortcake. All was coordinated over the phone, via email, and text. Paula was great to work with and her serving staff was perfect. The main course was served family style at my request. My guests commented many times after the event how good the food was. The came prepared with containers to give me all the leftovers too. I would highly recommend Carry Out Cafe for your catered event.
Luckily we work close by and are able to eat here a couple times a week. Soups and Salads are really fresh and 2/3 to choose from. Wraps and 1 hot lunch offered daily. Dinner is available later in the day for those HOT nights no-one feels like cooking. And the Chicken Noodle Soup has definite medicinal qualities ( ask anyone who had a cold last winter - we lived on it !)

Absolutely the best little Hidden Gem in Newburyport. If you're like me, a busy professional with no time to really make a beautiful home cooked meal for yourself carry out Cafe is the place for you! Amazing home cook meals that you can just Grab & Go and enough options to please the whole family.

We are traveling to Seabrook in June and I'm hosting my mother-in-law's birthday dinner. I asked my husband to call this place and inquire if they're available since the website states "Whether it's dinner for one or lunch for 100, we pride ourselves on preparing fresh, delicious food for friends, families, and business people on the go." A lot of catering companies turned us down because of our small group size and because it is graduation weekend but they were polite in doing so. However, the woman on the phone was extremely rude to my husband and told him that her answer was no but it might be yes later. (????) I guess having good Yelp reviews means not needing to have any phone etiquette. In the end, we found another company willing to help us out.

I recently used Carryout Cafe for my husband's birthday party. Food was delicious, everyone loved it. And Paula was great to work with. She took the time to review my selections, taking into account any possible food allergies and fan favorites! We'll definitely be using Carryout Cafe in the future.
