Changing Tides Café has not just a lovely atmosphere, but also friendly staff, great food, and amazing coffee! My partner and I went here for Valentine's Day, and it was just an overall pleasant experience! The mocha latte I got is the best I've had around here, and the donut egg sandwich was tasty and filling! Definitely will come back again! Happy Valentine's Day! ❤️

I just needed something near my hotel at the Inn at ring Island and I saw changing tides they had specially coffees so I went there. There were two customers in front of me three employees working and it took 22 minutes to get a vanilla latte and they gave it to me it was iced I never ordered an iced latte I don't like iced coffee drinks but I took it anyhow and I'm leaving to go back to North Carolina today so I'll never be back and I would go back to Angie's or someplace else in town This was a mistake and they were employees seem like they're half asleep. It is 7:30 on Sunday morning but come on --it's coffee.

How dare you call yourself a donut shop when you only offer donuts ONE DAY A WEEK!?! Walked in because I saw the cool sign, and just wanted a good plain donut, a beautiful Saturday morning. "Sorry, we only serve donuts on Fridays". WTF. Next is a pizza shop that only makes pizza on Wednesdays.

Finally! A cafe that has organic cold brew and tea! Baked goods are also great. Staff is

Went there on a Sunday and was disappointed my cortado was more like a cafe au lait, and my husband's espresso more like an americano. I think maybe the person who knows how to run the espresso machine takes the weekend off because the coffees were a little disappointing for having such a robust menu. Coffee certainly didn't taste bad and it was nice to see they were offering a variety of non-dairy milks for those who prefer those, however I think if a café is going to use George Howell they should make sure they do it right.

This used to be my favorite donut place. Unfortunately donuts are now only available on Friday and the other pastries do not stand out. I hadn’t ordered an açaí bowl in a while and the one I got today was very different and inferior to my previous experience. It used to contain real açaí berries, but now contains only a mushy purée. We also really liked the egg sandwich, but the one we received today didn’t measure up to our previous experience and even lacked cheese(could be a one-off mistake so I won’t judge). Very disappointing to see a favorite cafe deteriorate.

We had a very nice visit to Changing Tides; the staff is friendly and the breakfast sandwich was spot on. They did not have doughnuts. Lots of Muffins and Scones and Lattes etc but no doughnuts.

Great food, many options available and super friendly staff! Some of my favorites are their egg sandwich with bacon, double chocolate muffin, cinnamon chip muffin, and an asiago bagel with cream cheese (yes, they give enough cream cheese). I normally order online and pick up at their window outside. My order is always ready by the time provided online. The staff are always smiling and just seem really happy which makes me happy to go there. It is on a one way street just an FYI. Check them out!Parking: One way street but parking available on both sides

I have been to changing tides a number of times. Some for coffee and some for the delicious donuts. Today for Father’s Day I decided to get some donuts. I was told that donuts are now only on Friday’s I was bummed but opted for some muffins. They asked if I’d like them in a pastry box to which I said yes. I heard the young cashier tell someone behind the partition that many people were asking for the donuts. The woman replied with “I don’t care it says we aren’t doing them they can buy muffins” I’m not sure where she was referring to as I did not see a sign anywhere regarding the change. I also as a returning customer would not think to check Facebook or Instagram as I knew what I was going for. I got my muffins they were not in a pastry box but instead shoved into a bag. By the time I got home they were all crushed. I was so disappointed as my past experiences had all been very pleasant. There was only one other couple there which was surprising for a Sunday morning it’s usually very busy. I won’t be going back.

A very friendly and knowledgeable staff who also provided tips on my dietary requirements (no sugar). The scone was tasty and fresh. The latte tasted quite good as wellDietary restrictions: Diabetic thus shuns a sugar

Inconsistent service aside, Changing Tides is prettay prettay good. Damn fine coffee and good donuts. Can’t speak for the breakfast sandos yet, though. Bangin playlists every time I’ve visited. The people that work there really make this place special and that more than makes up for aforementioned inconsistency. Walk-up window is a HUGE feature.
