Visiting from NYC, wanting a burger. I looked up this spot up with it getting 4.5 stars. You order your food at the counter and then find a seat .The place is pretty small so if a group comes in you'll have to get your order to go. So we just beat the rush. I ordered a classic burger with American cheese I think it's called a yo man in their menu with a side of onion rings. it came with lettuce tomato pickles and an herbed aoli sauce. The burger was small lacked flavor, and was on the dry side despite the aoli sauce. I had to add some ketchup for a bit more flavor. The onion rings tasted as if they were coated in corn meal with this gritty course taste to them and were very thin. The staff were friendly and the place was clean bright with these bubbly pastel playful colors,with peace and love symbols through the space. Despite the cheerful atmosphere the food was lacking. Not the burger I was hoping for.

The small burger chain, Lexie's, should not be missed. They have a handful of locations in Massachusetts and NH. The one in Newburyport is on the main drag and is easy to get to. The dining room is small but clean and bright with neat artwork on the walls. Piped in music was not too loud. The staff is friendly and engaging. Their burgers are just the right size, never too big and not too small. Delightfully messy and tasty! Their fries are perfect and can be ordered in a few different ways. Definitely stop for lunch or dinner!

Would rate 10 stars if I could. I have had a lot of burgers in my life, but the green goblin might be the best. They have good milkshakes and fries too.

I think about the beanie burger on a gf bun at least three times per week. It's the comfort food of all comfort food. lucky to live three minutes away

Very surprised at how disappointed I was in the food. The burgers and tops were so bland it was comparable to the flavor of a slice of bread. And the size of the burgers made my hands look like I was Andre the Giant. Service was good. Place is clean. Staff was nice.

It was my first - and last - visit to Lexie's in Newburyport. I stopped in tonight, excited to try their deep-fried Brussel sprouts. Since I was on foot I placed the plastic take-out bag in my backpack.When I got home and took the bag out of the backpack, I realized all the hot honey sauce had leaked out of the soggy, sagging cardboard container into the bottom of the bag. It was a terrible mess. Did I mention I also was carrying 2 library books in the backpack? Also the sticky sauce leaked onto the front of my favorite turtleneck. And the Brussels sprouts were hard and tasteless. When I called the restaurant to let them know of my experience, the only response I received was they would pack it better next time I came in. Of course there won't be a next time. Just a word of warning to the wary. Skip the Brussels sprouts here on at least 2 counts: no care taken in properly packaging takeout, and no taste in the food itself. Now it's time for me to toss the sprouts and clean up the mess. I just hate to throw away food and money.

Food was fine. Nothing special. The fries were bland. Also, they switched the burgers in my order and put the rare one on one and the no pink burger on the other completely different burger. It ruined my meal and I was very disappointed. Please put some more effort in to mobile orders it's unfortunate this happened.

Whilst waiting outside this place to cross the street, a bearded man and young man left this restaurant and locked up. The bearded man then approached my husband and asked him was he going for a run. My husband joked and said with this build, you are mistaken. The man then berated my husband for being fat for no apparent reason. We said nothing thinking that was best. So think twice if your not lean and want to eat here.
