Beer sucks. They clearly don’t clean out the lines. Service is decent and music is good but the beer absolutely sucks

Super unfriendly bartender, poor service, average beer. Tour microbrews across the country. My lowest rating yet.

Our first trip to Newburyport and found this great brewery. What makes a great brewery? Great beer and people. We found both here! Thank you! We’ll be back. Can’t wait to pick up more of the Sandbar double IPA!

Im a fan of most of the lineup but the sandbar IPA is undrinkable. Advertised as a double IPA but tastes like a chocolate stout. Tried giving the rest of the 4 pack away but couldnt find someone who would drink them.

Average at best. Uninspiring. With so many other options nearby, if you're not sure, skip it. If you decide to come anyway, don't blame me. Lol

There are several brewing operations within walking distance of the Newburyport MBTA commuter rail station, even if much of this is along roads without proper sidewalks. Still, when combined with a $10 weekend commuter rail pass, you can explore all these breweries in one day trip without worrying about driving afterwards, all while saving on the cost of gas. Newburyport Brewing is one of these breweries. It's located deep inside a dead-end road about a 20 minute walk from the train station - but there are at least 2 other brewing operations along the way. Once inside, you'll find a large, rustic, pub-like taproom with about a dozen draft brews on offer. There's also a large, sun-drenched beer garden outside. I tried a variety of brews via a flight when I stopped by: the Plum Island Belgian White wheat beer, Overboard NEIPA, Sandbar DIPA, Newberry Blue sour, and the toffee stout. A nice variety that showed that they can make clean, light, easily drinkable brews across a spectrum of styles - not to mention refreshing ones on a hot early summer day.Even though there was a steady stream of folks lining up at the bar, service was attentive, efficient, and detail-oriented. When I stopped by, it was particularly busy because there was a solid live band. If I remember correctly, they had some snacks available for purchase, but if you want something more substantial to help you soak up the booze, you can either bring your own food or order delivery. All in all, a lively, social venue in an otherwise quiet commercial corridor of Newburyport with plenty of brews to make it worth your while in getting here.

This place was really cool! There was an event tonight. They have a variety of beers but unfortunately I'm not a beer driinker but recommend stopping by

Great brewery in Newburyport! Came here for a quick drink and found a wide open area to be outside, rooms with games, and a DJ playing beats through the afternoon. Terrific place to hang out in the summer, with friends and family. Would definitely recommend !

Well I went here the other weekend to listen to a band. I ended up getting VERY ill from their beer and dirty tap lines! I was SO sick the next day from only 2 beers! Ended up being sick the next two days waiting for my body to finish purging. Also note their bathrooms were disgusting! I'll never go back!

Great music vibes and great time!! Ordering food delivery was kinda fun too. We had 5 people and ordered the beers and seltzer all were delicious.
