Found this hidden gem on Instagram one day and the birria tacos served here looked insane so of course I had to try it! The restaurant is small but the staff are super sweet. You can try and walk in; however, the place does fill up quickly so try and get a reservation if you can! Started off with an order of guacamole and chips with some salsa and upon first glance it looks pretty regular. But the first bite of the guacamole and you can feel how smooth and zesty it's been made. The salsa was also delicious with some heat! For entrees ordered the Al pastor burrito and of course the birria tacos. The burrito was massive and a very interesting take on a burrito as it was crispy and seared well unlike most burritos which are usually quick soft and floppy. But no flops here. Pair each bite with the guac or salsa and it's perfect moving on to the star of the show, why I came here! The birria looks amazing. I loved how crispy the fried cheese was. Similar to the burrito, most birria taco spots make a wet and floppy taco, but no flops here!! The meat was super tender and you can tell it's been stewed inside the consume for hours maybe even days?! Each bite was better than the last.My only warning is due be mindful of how much consume you're consuming as it's a little salty and you might not notice it until after you've left the restaurant or even the next day.

Absolute gem! My family and I were blown away by Pátzcuaro. This is a MUST try restaurant in the Greater Boston area. AMAZING family owned business serving authentic and delicious Mexican cuisine. A+ service. We will be back soon!

Guacamole and chips: This was ~excellent~. The guac tasted so fresh. I could clearly taste every ingredient. Only problem was that it's tiny. We got a medium, which was almost $10. Birria: Delicious! Consomme was great, meat was tender and juicy. The shells were on point. At $20 for 3, not too bad of a price. These are definitely more worth it than the $6 normal tacos.Al Pastor: Taco was pretty good. The caramelized onions and potatoes on the side were a nice addition as well. $6 per taco is a bit insane. These are the worst deal here.Tres Leches: $8 for a small slice of cake? Stay away. This tres leches was not good at all. Didn't taste bad, but it wasn't moist at all. Pretty dry to the point of graininess, actually. Definitely need some more leche in this cake.Overall, they have some really overpriced menu items but make up for it with some of their less overpriced stuff. You should definitely get their burritos over their tacos. Service was incredibly slow and lackluster. Make a reservation in advance, as this restaurant can book out sometimes.

Great food tasty drinks always try horchata when they have and they did not disappoint. Tacos were awesome they make their own tortilla - always a good signCeviche quality do not forget to get the churros before you leaveEven if you are full. They are worth it!

I am in constant shock that this place isn't yet packed day in and day out. Go here before the influencers find out about it!! We've been at least 5 times over 7-8 months, and every time the food is fantastic, margaritas are perfect, the service is friendly and attentive, and the overall ambiance/experience feels like a hug. Could not recommend this place more!

AHH! GET THE AL PASTOR BURRITO!! All of their burritos are delicious, but the braised pork is especially yummy! I got the jefe burrito, and it was definitely worth the price! The service was SO friendly, the guacamole and home made hot sauces were so refreshing, and our waitress gave us a slice of tres leches on the house for my birthday. Ugh, CANNOT RECCOMEND THIS PLACE ENOUGH!!! :)))

Love this place. Margaritas are wonderfully fresh and all natural. Authentic. We've been twice and sat at the tiny bar because it's busy on Saturday nights and that's all available. But it's cozy and the bartender is lovely and friendly. Our order took a long time but we weren't in a hurry. They may have been backed up.We had street corn and chips to start. I didn't live it, the corn wasn't sweet and not enough cheese. Great chips.Ordered shrimp and carnitas tacos. Only $6 each!Shrimp was spicier than I like. But 4 shrimp which was generous. Carnitas were great. We enjoy this restaurant! The dining room is cozy but the front room kind of sterile. Only 2 extra tables there and I wouldn't want to sit there!Overall I recommend checking out.

UPDATE: I have gone back a few times since my incident and I can say that I haven't had any issues with service since. I commend ownership for taking accountability on this and have updated my review accordingly. I am leaving the original text for transparencyNormally I love coming to this place as the food is amazing and I don't think anywhere else in Boston does pambazos. However, the other day we made a reservation on the phone for Friday dinner and when we arrived we were told our reservation was for Saturday. When we brought up that we had called and reserved for Friday, we were told that we were wrong and the Google Voice said Saturday. I stated that I did not use the Google Voice and that I had called and someone had picked up the phone. Nothing was done to attempt to resolve the situation and instead I was told nothing could be done; my entire party had arrived and had to just stand around. We ended up getting takeout and all the workers just took our order and just ignored us. There was no attempt to formally apologize or make amends of any sort.I love the food of this place but I think it's important to highlight significant customer service issues and hope ownership takes accountability instead of blaming the customer for a wrong reservation.

Ever walk into a restaurant and feel like they hate their customers? It says they close at 9pm, arrived a few minutes before 8:30. The server said they stopped seating at 8:30, I offered to eat quick and said it was still before 8:30, she said it didn't matter and I could only do take out. Plenty of empty tables were available. I asked if I could order a margarita while I waited, and it looked like it physically pained the server to allow me a drink while I waited for take out.Margarita - It was good but they mixed up the spicy and regular margarita.Burrito - loved the outside as it came toasted, which was a nice touch since not many places do that.Taco - The steak taco was ok, pretty bland. There was an extra one I didn't order, and for a second I thought "that was nice". Then I looked at the receipt and I was charged for one I didn't order.Tres Leches - There was so little Tres Leches sauce I questioned if I had wronged the server in a previous life. The driest Tres Leches I've ever had. A sad Tres LechesEdit: The comment by the owner says it all, just didn't care about the treatment of the customer, mistakes, dry tres leches or bad service.

I don't normally write Yelp reviews, but I feel this place deserved one. One of the best Mexican restaurants around. I took a trip to LA recently where I thought I would be blown away by their tacos but nope! The Patzcuaro street style tacos have stayed at the top for me. Something about the potatoes and onion make it different than a lot of other spots. It is a small family owned restaurant so take what you will with that. I do wish they were easier to get to since I come up from the south shore just for their food. I've brought co workers and they've consistently said the food was phenomenal as well.
