Today was my first time at Steamers and I only went in because I was walking by and decided to go in just to check it out.Glad I did!I ordered a whole clam plate to go and it was delicious! While I was waiting for my order I checked out the fresh fish and I made a decision. Instead of buying my fish at the supermarket, I'm going to Steamers in the future.Their prices were just slightly higher than the supermarket, but I only buy it by the pound, not the ton, so it's no big deal. I'm guessing it's always fresh and I think there's more variety.I also like the idea of supporting a small family owned business and this seemed to be a nice family.

Purchased clam platter that wasn't worth the $. The store isn't very clean either. I will not go there ever again.

Best seafood I’ve had in years. Delightfully fresh and authentically prepared. I never write reviews but this establishment deserves all five stars.

I got the crab cakes today. Great portions of crab and price. Looking forward to getting more fish from them

Fantastic seafood and the friendliest staff. This isn’t a restaurant but the food they serve is very high quality. So far we’ve tried the grilled seared scallop dinner, grilled shrimp dinner, grilled salmon dinner and grilled haddock dinner which were delicious. Perfect amount of seasoning and doneness. Lobster rolls are good too. Crab cakes weren’t the best but that’s not what New England is known for so can’t hold it against them. Wish portion sizes were a little bigger (like the yummy rice pilaf and grilled veggies).

This was a very cute seafood market serving a decent lunch options. Only had about 3 tables but was very accommodating. I had shrimp dinner for $12 and my husband had the haddock dinner for same price. Fish was lightly battered and not oily. It tasted fresh clean and delicious. It came with fries and onion ring, tarter sauce and cole slaw on the side. The menu had a variety of other options including lobster roll and clams. Would go there again.

Was craving for lobster - luckily it's the season and I'm in Boston! Found this seafood shop that sells live lobsters and other seafood- mainly for take out since is a tiny store front.Very disappointed on the lobster :..( Just asked for a female lobster around 1.5lb, came to be very small and hollow, almost nothing in the claws or head, and tiny tail... good thing it still tasted fresh, no spoiled flavor, but definitely not good enough to tame my cravings...Steamers tasted fresh and not a lot of sand, but also not very meaty, on the small/dry side.Good thing the scallops were very good, cooked nicely, meaty, juicy and fresh, with nice charred and buttery flavor. Also the grilled veggies were seasoned nicely.

This is the best lobster roll I have in Boston. Delicious and low price.

Really fresh lobster roll at a reasonable price. I have had several other rolls throughout downtown Boston after eating this one and haven't found one that I like more. You get so much fresh meat for a fraction of the price.

Atmosphere:Local little fresh fish shop that has a restaurant in it as well. Service and food: The girl (I even asked her name and as soon as we left I completely forgot I feel terrible) was great! It's a little place on the corner of Dalby? They have paper menus with all sorts of options. There was 3 adults and 1 kid with us. We had clam chowder, lobster bisque, fried clam strips, fried fish, fries and onion rings. Oh and a lobster roll. It was all great! No complaints for any of it. We are in town and kept getting off our path to our hotel. So glad we found this place and with the reviews we figured it's got to the be first place in Boston (newton) that we eat lol.

Best fish ‘n’ chips for the money in Greater Boston IMO — especially when you get sole or other sweet white meat ocean fish as the daily catch used.
