Went for lunch today. We were treated like we were a nuisance. Never had waters filled. Barely any server presence during our meal for us to ask questions. Kid left her belongings, we had barely left for ten minutes, and the server had THROWN OUT HER TOYS. We were so excited that a restaurant could accommodate our kid's allergies and now we won't be returning.

Crowded layout. Chairs were very uncomfortable. Food is just above Applebees. Service was good.

I was in for drinks on a weeknight last week. I have to give them credit for an unusual beer menu, in a good way. Not the standard rotation. I had a Jack's Abby lager in a can; my friend had cider on tap! We got parm fries, which were excellent and well portioned. The wings were a 3/5: not bad, not great. The menu looks improved from Covid, so I'll be back to try the burger.

Baramor is a laid back, fun neighborhood pub. Everything about it from the menu, to the staff, the decor is really casual and relaxed. It's the kind of place where you can just kick back and graze, stay an hour or hang out for a few and enjoy the friendly staff, playful cocktails and menu items and forget about life for a while.

I had really had high hopes for this place. Unfortunately, it fell short the environment was dreary, the food was just ok. Holding it up against some of the other pubs/bars in Newton it fell far short for me.

2.5 stars. I get it, profit margins in restaurants and bars are razor thin. But I paid 10 dollars for a draft beer, and our "shareable poutine" portion was just too small for what we paid for. My girlfriends chicken sandwich was comically small for the price. Flavors were good, and so was service. But there are so many more gastropub/new American bars and restaurants that I think I have much more to offer. The Local has more space, food options and better portions. I want to like this place. But I never feel compensated for getting small portions for big prices.

It's an odd layout - but the staff is very nice. I've been for several music events over the years, but they don't seem to have them often.

Cool place and good beer, but the dinners were mostly VERY salty, w the exception of the salmon, which was quite good. The burger was overcooked. The tuna was so salty it hurt my mouth to try

Food and service were good. So glad outdoor seating still available. We had deep-fried French toast and chicken as well as pouting. Spicy maple syrup was too spicy for me.

Good location but the food and drinks are very overpriced. You can get drinks from some top bars in downtown for less than they charge here for a simple martini. Burgers approach $20 for just a burger and unseasoned fries. Would go once in a while due to its location but can't justify more than

Very rude bartender! Waited for 10 minutes for the menu just to see it get tossed at us with poker face!

I had the unfortunate experience of dining at BarAMor in Newton Center recently, and I must say, I was thoroughly unimpressed. The restaurant's prime location, right across from the subway line, is the only positive aspect of this establishment.A group of friends and I decided to give this place a try for dinner, and it turned out to be a decision we would come to regret. We ordered steak tips, expecting them to be cooked rare, as requested, but what we received were well-done hockey pucks. The salmon dish, while passable, was on the drier side, lacking the flavors and tenderness one would expect from a decent restaurant. Even the children in our group were dissatisfied with the offerings from the kids' menu, which is never a good sign. The abysmal service at this restaurant is something worth noting. We were seated for a good 15-20 minutes before anyone bothered to acknowledge our presence. After finally getting the server's attention, he took our drink orders but then informed us that we'd have to wait an additional 20 minutes before he could take our food orders due to the kitchen being busy. In about 30 minutes our food orders were finally taken, and we sat impatiently for almost an hour to receive our meals, which, as previously mentioned, were far from satisfying. The only redeeming quality of BarAMor is its selection of unique drinks, especially beer, which was the only aspect of the evening that didn't disappoint. If you're in the mood for some good drinks and perhaps some fries, and don't care about the service, this place might suffice. However, if you're looking for a decent meal, ambiance, and attentive service, I strongly recommend you look elsewhere. Fortunately, there are plenty of better dining options in the area, so do yourself a favor and avoid the disappointment that BarAMor has to offer.
