Had the opportunity to attend a Grandparents' Class (virtual!). Was wondering what I could "learn". Well - there was a lot to learn and the information was presented in a very informative way - "Here's what is different and here is 'why' (the science behind it)".Came away feeling more prepared to support our son and daughter-in-law through this exciting next phase!

Stork Ready was essential in helping us feel prepared for the arrival of our little one! We took the C-section preparation class, Newborn Essentials, and Infant CPR and Safety classes and the nurses in the hospital even commented on how prepared we were going in as first timers. I cannot recommend Stork Ready enough!

My husband and I are expecting our first child next month. We attended the in-person birthing class and learned so much! We haven't stopped talking about it all week and can't recommend it enough. We feel so prepared and confident for labor and delivery now!

I took Karen’s advanced comfort measure class back in March 2023, hoping for an unmedicated TOLAC for my second baby. I am glad I took her class, I’ve learnt much more than I thought I would. We were lucky to be the only couple there at the time, Karen welcome us in with open arms and mind. She made the atmosphere comfortable and gave very valuable information for my toolbox. I labored at home for 12 hours, using breathing techniques, peanut ball, physiology ball, and meditation that was taught by Karen to manage the pain. Leading up to my admission to labor and delivery, my labor was stalled, baby girls heart rate dropped, and resulting in an emergency c-section. Though it was not the birth story I had hoped for, our baby girl is healthy and that’s all it mattered. I highly recommend Stork Ready classes to all parents looking to educate themselves.

My partner and I attended the birth class and feel much better prepared for our first child. Karen is very well informed over her many years of experience, and an engaging instructor.Very grateful to have someone like her providing this knowledge and expertise. Having other expecting parents in this intimate small group was also a delight.Highly recommend!Thank you Karen.

My husband and I knew we wanted to take a childbirth class in person, which was truly hard to find. With a quick Google search, we found storkready and I am SO thankful that we did... our insurance covered the class, but my husband and I both agreed it was worth every penny and then some!Karen was so informative and non-judgmental. The setting was intimate with just 5 couples and honestly felt like we were a a bunch of old friends hanging out in Karen's livingroom.Karen provided snacks and breaks, which was nice because I felt like it gave me time to strech, use the bathroom, and check in with my husband without missing any information or being rude during her class. It also allowed us to mingle with the other couples.Karen covered everything from the first signs of labor to after baby is born and literally everything in between. She simply stated facts and provided us with the knowledge we needed to make our own decisions and how to advocate for ourselves. Karen covered the stages of labor, medication options, laboring options, relaxation tips, breathing exercises, the proper way to push, how your partner can support you, possible complications and how to be prepared for them....there was also a portion of the class where we were able to use the birthing balls with our partners and really practice the process. My husband and I left class feeling fully prepared for the big day! I feel so confident in my ability to labor and my husband is equipped with ways to support me. We have already recommended the class to a few friends and hope to take another class ourselves soon!

My husband and I attended a birth class facilitated by Karen. We had a great experience at the one day class. The biggest pros for us were the small class size and the studio’s genuinely comfortable atmosphere. We feel very prepared to advocate for our preferences in childbirth. I’m so glad we found Stork Ready. We will be signing up for more classes and definitely taking advantage of the parent support groups.

I cannot say enough good things about Stork Ready and the owner Karen! I just gave birth last week and took the newborn essentials, breastfeeding, and childbirth classes beforehand. Going into labor I felt SO prepared and could not imagine going through all of this without these classes. My partner knew the best ways to support me during labor and even now at home because of all of Karen’s helpful suggestions and I feel like we are thriving because of them. Karen made me feel well educated in our choices and not pressured to go in any sort of direction in terms of how labor should go or how we should feed and make decisions for our baby once they arrived. If you are thinking of taking these classes don’t hesitate! These are worth it and I’m so excited to continue to participate in the stork ready community through their Facebook group and through mommy cafe/itty bitty learners. Stork Ready is the best!!!

Stork ready and the owner Karen are the BEST! I took the childbirth, newborn essentials, and breastfeeding classes before I delivered my son and they were incredibly helpful. My partner and I felt so prepared and I can't imagine what my labor or the first few days with my baby would have been like without these classes. I recommend them to everyone I know and I plan to continue being a part of the amazing community Karen has created through their Facebook group for parents and through mommy cafe/ itty bitty learners. If you were on the fence about signing up, don't be! They are so worth it!!!

My husband and I are expecting our first child and we just completed two classes offered at Stork Ready - Infant CPR and Newborn Essentials. Both classes were extremely informative and Karen was a great instructor! Karen has over 30 years of experience teaching these classes and has a really nice way of explaining things. She is so knowledgeable and you can tell she is passionate about what she does. Questions were answered thoroughly and with patience and she made sure everyone understood her answers before moving on to the next topic. Karen also has some hilarious stories that had everyone laughing during the classes. My husband and I feel a lot more prepared for baby's arrival after taking these two classes. Stork Ready is a great resource for soon-to-be parents, parents, grandparents, and I would highly recommend taking the courses that are offered.

I recently gave birth to my first child in July and Karen was there for my family every step of the way. I had so many questions regarding what to expect in the delivery room, breast feeding , cpr, labor and delivery , you name it and Karen covered it all in her classes. She truly eased my anxiety and I felt more than prepared for my little one to arrive. We were lucky enough to have Karen with us in the delivery room to help with my labor. There were quite a few unexpected turns and some things just didn’t go as planned. Thankfully Karen was there to help keep me calm and make the best decisions I could for the birth of my baby. Her positive energy is exactly what I needed during this time! I highly recommend Stork Ready to all moms & dads! Karen is the absolute best!

Karen is absolutely AMAZING. We took her birthing class 2.5 years ago when I was pregnant with my first and found this class to be extremely helpful. Not only did she offer REAL advice she could speak to any and all scenarios that could potentially play out. Karen is a TRUE ANGEL who happened to be working the day I went into labor and helped get me through some of the hardest contractions. She gave me and my husband the confidence we needed to get through labor and delivery. I love Karen so much that I signed up for her virtual (due to COVID) Breastfeeding Class just a couple weeks ago as I am expecting baby#2 the end of this month. Not only is she an experienced L&D Nurse she is a mother too – her knowledge and continuous support has been priceless. She makes her classes personal and truly connects with you on a deeper level. You gain more from these classes then you would from reading any book out there and I highly recommend Stork Ready. If you are on the fence - don't be. Signing up for her classes were the best thing I could have done in preparing myself for motherhood <3

Karen is WONDERFUL! We took her comfort measures class with our son two and a half years ago and found her advice invaluable. I wound up with a c-section because he wasn’t tolerating labor, but I felt armed with information going into labor. Last week we attended a VBAC class of hers as I’m 33weeks pregnant with number two and I very much want to avoid another C. Karen so clearly loves what she does, has years of knowledge built up that she is bursting to share, and has a warm, inviting humor that immediately puts you at ease. I feel so much more confident in my own abilities to have a VBAC now, and I know my husband was thrilled to have the refreshers in hand as well. I’ll update when baby 2 makes his/her appearance but I am so very thankful for the classes I took from Karen!
