Pretty disappointing sushi - the eel avocado roll had a hunk of avocado, with a barely visible piece of eel. Salmon sushi was good, but at $7 for two small slices, was overpriced. The miso soup had very little flavor. I've got nothing bad to say about the seaweed salad but that was the only thing that wasn't either skimpy or flavorless. There are better sushi restaurants in Northampton and I'll be going to them from now on.

I've gone to Oriental Taste for years. At one time, they were my absolute favorite restaurant. They had the best Dan Dan Noodles I have ever tasted and I ate there three times a week to have them. It was the perfect lunch. Eventually they changed cooks and the the noodles served were the worst I have ever tasted in any form, anywhere. It's been a long life and that is a lot of noodles/pasta. So I switched dishes and started eating the Sichuan Boiled Fish Fillet. It was divine. Hot and spicy, filled with Sichuan red peppers, life was very good. They changed cooks, it went down a little but I would still buy it although not nearly as frequently. Then I got take-out last month and I got both the Dan Dan Noodles and Sichuan Boiled Fish Fillet. There was not a Sichuan red pepper to be found. Neither dish had ANY heat. I won't be back anytime soon, and I mean for years. I don't know if everything has gotten so bad, but a waiter was cutting up the fish for sushi so I imagine it might be. And to top it off, they had told me the take out would be ready in 15 to 20 minutes, but it took 40. The restaurant was NOT busy -- I imagine an indication of what they've become.

By far the best Sichuan food we've eaten in Western Massachusetts. Boiled fish filet was spicy and awesome.

Best In Northampton and western ma! I love the steamed veg dumplings and almost every dish we have tried. Also some of the best customer service! Prices are affordable, food selection is great, and they have or can make many dishes vegetarian or vegan.

Terrible terrible service. I had to get up and get my food from the sushi bar as it was just sitting there because the waitress never returned. Never came with the bill. I have been coming for 10 years and never had such terrible service.

0 stars. Paid with a $100 bill. They were taking forever to give me my change back. I seen them on the phone and looking at my $100 bill after 10/15 mins. I asked them “what’s going on?” & they claimed it “felt funny” & they didn’t think it was real. When I literally just got the money from the bank. They didn’t even have a marker to tell or even knew how to check if the bill was real by putting it in the light. I threaten to call the police myself & they ended up giving me my change. Seemed very suspicious to me. First time ever eating there as well. I will never ever go back after my first experience. And the silverware/cups were dirty. Worse restaurant I have ever experienced. Never have I ever made a review but I felt like this was needed because that was absolutely ridiculous.
The food is really good and the prices are reasonable. You definitely get a sizeable portion for the price you pay. Staff are attentive and are prompt in taking your order. Definitely check this place out.

Do not eat at this restaurant. Please.I ordered a shrimp dumpling and the first bite into it was COLD. THE FOOD WAS UNCOOKED. This is unacceptable.The food here are all NOT FRESH. Probably microwaved or froze. After the shrimp dumpling everything tasted so dry and bad. I ordered a soup and more dim sum but couldn’t eat anymore because of the shrimp dumplings.I feel so SICK AFTERWARDS. I feel like barfing. The cleanness of the food is an absolute 0 star. Don’t eat here. You’ll feel horrible.The waiter apologized for the shrimp dumpling and made the chefs make another order shrimp dumplings.The bathrooms were pretty clean. The waiters were nice and everything looked nice like an average restaurant. The menu has a wide variety. Food comes pretty fast.SUMMARY:Service = goodFood = horrible and not fresh and one came out uncooked.

Disgusting. The sushi chef was cutting his fingernails behind the sushi bar. I also found a hair in my food. Save yourself and eat at any other restaurant in Noho. I certainly am never coming back here.
