Editing this from 2 stars to 1 - as day later all experience nausea:(….Nope. Only 2 out 5 dishes were up to par. Ordered Fried Chicken Fingers, - where the heck is the actual chicken? Just a random assortment of fried dough things..pass..House Style Mei Fun..Great Wall is by far better.. Spare Ribs...is this cat? Scallion Pancake ...okay you got something right..., Large Wonton Soup...it would be scary to mess that up....Just disappointing considering the positive reviews up here and how hurting Northampton is for good Chinese..We will go to Amherst.

Excellent farm vegetable with chicken stir fry. Tofu stir fry dishes were unfortunately prepared with no vegetables Service was below expectations: appetizers brought after we were eating the entre, an inquiry about the appetizers was misinterpreted as a new order, some at the table were served more than 5 minutes before the others. (We were a group of only 5.)
Love their food, always a great dine in experience, but take out was a nightmare. Waited an extra 30 minutes for our order. Ordered online at 7:09, estimated pickup of 20-35 minutes. Yes, they were busy, but food was not ready until after 8. Lots of other people also waiting for food. Perhaps update your online ordering system? Stewed beef soup, Orange Beef, Seaweed Salad. All very tasty. Hot and Sour Soup was cold, (and we live 2 blocks away.)

Oriental Taste is one of the best Szechuan restaurants in western Mass. Highly recommend the ma-la fish, spicy braised chicken w/wide noodles, and dim sum, but you really can't go wrong here. Spice level on the Szechuan dishes is no joke. Even the American Chinese dishes are solid. Service is outstanding and the food is extremely consistent - they never have an "off night."
