Great place, very good food and also really impressive service. The prices are also fairly on the lower side, highly recommend. The place is pretty small, it is probably better for smaller groups.

The food is excellent (easily 5 stars for the food). Had one of the best beef and scallion pancake rolls I've ever had here. The beef was much more tender than I've had from other locations. And the staff was very friendly. But be sure to read the other reviews because this place is tiny and the service is slow, so just know that going in. What's too bad about that is that it keeps this place from living up to its potential as a great place to pop in and get some excellent street food quickly while doing something else in Northampton. That leaves it as a little bit of a "tweeter" in that it's slow for a quick snack and there are other competitors nearby for a full sit down meal. But despite that, the street food is excellent and highly worth making some time for as long as you know the limitations going in.

Pickled radish and pork noodle soup was sooo good! Milk tea just right not too sweet. The waitstaff was very friendly, helpful and prompt. Great place!

Dining at T. ROOTS, I learned that curry fried rice was something my life had been missing this whole time. Prompt service, and all the food came out fresh and hot. Sweet potato fries were PERFECT!

We've eaten here quite a few times & have absolutely loved it. However, we ate here again on Sunday night & were gravely disappointed. The food was not hot & basically had no flavor. The Kimchi/Pork Fried Rice was primarily tasteless rice with very little pork or Kimchi & the Shanghai Mei Fun was cold & extremely salty. The steamed vegetable dumplings were good, but again, not hot. I was shocked. I'm only hoping that for some reason Sunday night was a very "off" night not to be repeated. I know that can happen. I've never written a review before, but felt I had to find a way to possibly let the restaurant owners know about this experience. We'll definitely give it another try & hope for a return to the previous level of deliciousness. PS Not fond of the order at the counter & take a seat procedure downstairs.

The food is absolutely incredible. Extremely authentic and comes out at a fair pace. I go here all the time as a student from a nearby college. The place is very modest and clean. The waitstaff are very kind and do their work well. The food is some of the best in Northhampton, hands down.

The servers are so polite and kind and the food is so delicious. I like their egg and beef Congee. Everything I've had there has been so good!

The Ma-La Bean Curd & Vegetables dish mostly consisted of dried tofu and vegetables, with little to no bean curd, and it was a bit too salty. I wish it were spicier because I could not really taste the chili flavor. Great atmosphere and service though!

Authentic food. T. Roots is popular and a small space, so be prepared to wait for a table if you want to eat in. They do a busy takeout business as well. We sat outside on the sidewalk and loved it. The food is yummy! Noodles and dumplings are the family faves!

This review is for my second visit to T Roots. I only had boba tea before, three years ago. This time we sat down for lunch. The hostess/waitress was very friendly and attentive. We ordered the Chicken noodle soup. Unfortunately they didn't have radish dumplings. The flavor and the quality of the ingredients were all excellent. The blend of mushrooms and spices was just right. It was as good as my mom makes. I'm just sorry I didn't try T Roots sooner.

Our family met at Northampton, T. Root, a Taiwanese restaurant. It is our first time at this restaurant. Our research, indicates that it specializes in Taiwanese street foods! We had for dim sum: Soup Dumplings; Scallion pancakes; Radish cakes. Wonton soups. Main course : Mei Fun; Spicy beef dry noodles; Beef & Eggplant w/ Spicy noodles! Jasmin Green tea.It was very tasty and it is the excellent street food we were expecting! The ambiance is a small restaurant/market atmosphere, crowded, but comfortable, excellent wait service! Parking is at the rear of the building, and street meters. The location is at the "Downtown area!", easy to find! We will be back to sample more of this "street food" style, real excellent Chinese food! Thanks.

Food is great, the beef noodle soup is craveable and a must have. All the smaller dishes are nice, good variety good flavor. Prices are appropriate for the quality.Interior is a little cramped, and waitstaff is hit and miss. Have had good service, and also had service where waitstaff basically refused to acknowledge our existence, make eye contact, check on us, anything.Still, it’s central to downtown, and that five spice beef soup is just amazing, so we still go fairly regularly.

Northampton is full of over priced and over rated restaurants that serve low quality food for high prices. T roots is such a breath of fresh air. This is by far the best restaurant in Northampton by a long shot. Their sweet and spicy chicken wings are to die for, fried to perfect and doused in the the most amazing sauce. You have to try this place.
