We had my 30th bday party at Limey’s this past weekend and it was everything I was hoping for. Great food, great live music, and the best staff. Stacy was amazing and helped plan our menu the week before the party and made sure we had a good spread and amount of food for our guests (about 30-35 people). Stacy, Jenna, and Kelly were amazing the night of the party bringing out the food and getting everyone drinks on a very busy night. Couldn’t have asked for anything better!

We were able to explore Norwood a bit and find out about the food scene there. After receiving a list of four places to check out from a native, we went with Limey's, based on their menu. The space is inviting, with our typically weird and somewhat kitschy American Anglophilia ideals of what we think British pubs look like (full disclaimer: I've never been to England, let alone any pubs in the UK). So, lots of tin advertising signage, dark woods, etc. It was a bustling Saturday night, but we had a very brief wait for a table to turn over. The staff is outstanding- both from making sure we knew we'd be seated shortly, to ordering and service. There are lots of appealing choices here. The fish and chips had a nice, crunchy battering, the fries are hand cut. The bangers and mash were great - a slightly acidic, sour flavor in the Cumberland sausage (again, is that authentic? I dunno, but the flavor stood out, so I assume so), real mashed, and brown gravy with onions - it just seemed spot on. There was live music- apparently a Berklee student who was just fantastic on guitar and keys, and had a few solid originals in his set between decade spanning covers. Not too loud, you could still converse easily, or sing along if the mood struck you :-) Definitely a place we'd seek out again!

Having been a neighbor, I frequented this establishment regularly. I highly recommend it to anyone considering a visit. The staff and owner are fantastic, offering a variety of activity nights along with excellent food and drinks. A truly enjoyable experience.

Hi my name is Dawnessa English! A local resident in the area! Last night 1/5/24 the bar had no DJ! I decided to leave my personal business and attend to the Norwood crowd! Today as I called to see if they was ok, the bartender (man) was rude and couldn’t listen! I plan on never attending this environment based on the service I just received! He was rude, gave me a sense of entitlement! He was not there as 3 lovely ladies where that was picture perfect for there role! They get 5 stars as individuals but the business gets -1 for the service they allowed the male bartender to provide! It’s a no for me

I agree with Thomas HigginsIt’s the most discriminating bar in BostonAs an Irish guy me and my wife came for drinks and we’re totally refused any type of alcohol or foodThey told me they don’t serve my typeAs a Boston business manI totally don’t understand what the meaning of this wasBut honestly if someone don’t correct this bar and the staffI can’t see it working

Went on a Saturday night a few weeks ago. They were a little busy, and the kitchen was backed up. It took over 30 minutes to get nachos. The nachos could've used more toppings in my opinion. I ordered the shepherd's pie for my entree. It was really soupy which is not normal for shepherds pie in my experience. I didn't like how soupy it was, but the flavor was good. The wait staff was great even though they seemed a bit frazzled. Overall a good option for a sports bar and it's in a great location.

?. ?. ?. ?. ?. ?. ?Very disappointed, as newcomers to the area, we visited a bar on Friday night and experienced discrimination from the bar staff as soon as we entered. We didn't even have the opportunity to order our first drink. We requested to speak to a manager regarding the incident, as we were being attacked, but she adamantly refused to allow us to do so. Instead, she told us to leave, causing a very embarrassing scene. It was an extremely unwelcoming introduction to the town of Norwood. It's disheartening that discrimination exists in such a place. We were unable to defend ourselves against this hostile attitude and attack. It would mean a great deal to us if we could have an opportunity to sit down and have a conversation with the owner or manager.

Obsessed with this place!I needed a venue to host a large group of colleagues last minute for a work outing. LIMEYS CAME THROUGH! I sent an email at 7:30 pm to request an outing the next day and Stacey messaged me back by 8:05. I couldn't believe how accommodating they were. They brought in extra cooks / bar tenders to serve us.Food was so good and the drink options are great too. They have a great selection of on-tap beers (Maine Lunch!) and the cocktails (Tennessee Spice) are excellent. Most importantly to me - the service was amazing and everyone working there is so incredibly nice. They reserved the back barrel area for us but because it was so nice outside a lot of our folks wanted to sit on the patio. They did not bat an eye and just brought all of our pre-ordered food outside. Anytime we asked for a drink or anything else they had it in five minutes. I've not had service like that in a while. If you want to have a work outing in the Norwood area - I would suggest this place 100 times over. Would also just recommend this place for dinner and drinks. The prices are really great for the food, beverage, and experience you get!

THE OWNERS SHOULD BE ASHAMED... Limey's Bar: A Haven for Rudeness...I recently had the unfortunate experience of visiting Limey's Bar, and I must say, it was an absolute nightmare. From start to finish, the staff's behavior was nothing short of appalling, leaving me no choice but to warn others about this establishment's abysmal service. The level of rudeness displayed by the bartenders was truly astonishing. It was as if they had undergone extensive training in how to make customers feel unwelcome. Their condescending attitudes and dismissive remarks made it clear that they had no interest in providing even the most basic level of customer service. Not only were the bartenders rude, but their ignorance was unparalleled. It was evident that they lacked even the most basic knowledge of mixology, as their drinks were consistently poorly made and lacked any semblance of creativity or skill. It was impossible to enjoy a decent drink when the bartenders lacked the competence to mix a simple drink properly. To make matters worse, it appears that the owner/s. Must know what's going on Numerous negative reviews from other customers further confirm the dire state of affairs at Limey's Bar. It is utterly disheartening to see such a lack of professionalism and competence in an establishment that should be providing a welcoming and enjoyable experience. Moreover, I was deeply disturbed to witness instances of racism and discrimination during my time at Limey's Bar. The bartenders displayed a shocking level of prejudice, making derogatory comments and treating customers unfairly based on their race. This behavior is not only morally reprehensible but also illegal. It is my sincere hope that someone takes legal action against this establishment and exposes their discriminatory practices to the public through social media. In conclusion, Limey's Bar is an establishment that should be avoided at all costs. The rude and ignorant staff, coupled with their racist and discriminatory behavior, create an atmosphere that is toxic and unwelcoming. It is my sincere hope that the owner takes these issues seriously, addresses them promptly, and ensures that such behavior is rooted out entirely.

The food is good. I like their Cajun bowl with salmon. The service varies from reasonable to great, depending on who is working that night.
