I was in Martha’s Vineyard for a meeting and I stopped here with a colleague. Let me just say, the food and service are both top tier. The woman at the window was very kind and accommodating. The food was some of the best Caribbean food I’ve had in a long time. Every bite was filled with flavor and you could tell it was made with love.

So happy they have a Caribbean spot on MV! It was much needed, I tried this restaurant back in 2019, and returned in 2023, and it was still delicious! Had the jerk chicken, rice, and plantains. They give large portions, and they are always kind and friendly!!

This place never disappoints. Today, I ordered the rice and peas, fry chicken with curry chicken gravy. You taste the coconut milk and the hint of pepper in the rice and peas, and I have tried so many Caribbean restaurants here on the island, and it's always a miss. As for the atmosphere, the encounter with Stacey brings it , she is very personable, warm, and professional. I will always recommend Caribbean Cuisine for Caribbean food.

Vineyard Caribbean Cuisine is an authentic Jamaican restaurant that opened in Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts in July 2017. It was founded by chefs Newton Waite and Anthony Foster. Waite was born and raised in Jamaica and has 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He worked at multiple resorts including the Chippewa Hotel, the Ritz Carlton and Boca Club and Resorts in Florida. Foster is originally from New Haven (CT) and is a classically trained chef. He worked in the hospitality industry all over the country before settling on Martha's Vineyard in 1990. Waite found himself on the island for work in 2006 and moved there full-time in 2012. After being introduced by mutual friends, Waite and Foster decided to open their own restaurant which focused on authentic Jamaican food. As of 2023, Waite is the sole owner. My family and I visited Vineyard Caribbean Cuisine this past summer while we were spending the day on Martha's Vineyard. Before heading back to the mainland, we decided to grab some dinner to bring back on the ferry with us. When we walked past Vineyard Caribbean, we noticed a small crowd and thought that Jamaican cuisine sounded great. We noticed that many people waiting in line were of Caribbean descent: a great sign! The establishment is takeout only. Their chalkboard menu is updated daily and if they run out of a menu item then that's it for the day. We decided to order two "Jamaican Patties" (one beef and one chicken) and a platter that consisted of "Oxtail", "Fried Plantains", "Tropical Salad", and "Festivals" (traditional Jamaican sweet fried dough). The staff who took our order were so friendly and helpful. We had quite the delicious dinner on the ferry back to Cape Cod! We would definitely stop here again the next time we're in Oak Bluffs!

I've tried Jamaican foods many times including in montegobayThis small take out place offers super flavorful , and tasty foods. My husband had a pork j**** and goat curry (different day) , he said both dishes were great and spicy , he loved them. I tried my favorite ackee and codfish, and vegetable patty. akee and codfish was tad salty for me but it was awesome! it came with rice and beans, steam vegetables with hint of coconut flavor and plantains.patty was bit too sweet for my liking, and filling was bit too small as well. The counter lady was super friendly 10/10! if you haven't tried Jamaican food, this is it.

Found the macaroni but it's missing the cheese. And flavor. Also it's way over cooked. Very disappointing food but, Stacey, the woman at the window is phenomenal. She always greets you with a smile and is great at her job!

Me and my wife make a point to come here every year when we visit. The food is incredible and the portions are huge. We usually go for the j*** chicken, j*** pork, or curry chicken. All the sides, cabbage, plantains, rice and beans, are delicious and super flavorful. The staff is really outgoing and kind. Can't recommend this place enough

Ummm.. idk about this place. Folks are really nice and I was excited.. but flavor is no where to be tasted. Sadly nothing had flavor.... The rice or oxtails.. it was all bland. Missing spice.. the oxtail did fall off the bone which is good but it was missing spice.I asked for a small and she charged me for a medium.. and then realized and proceeded to give me a medium size which is fine I guess. I wish I had gotten the small tho.. Suggestions.. they should ask if you want it non spicy, mild or hot hot.. because Jamaican food without spice.. is just white people stew.. Beef Pattie's were really good tho.

The food is delicious the service is even better; however, the atmosphere is takeout, so there is no atmosphere. But they do have a bench. Also the food, you can tell it's very fresh. So if you're by Beach looking for somewhere close to eat, this is the spot

If you’ve never had Jamaican food or anything close this is the place. Taste like chicken with salt, pepper and generic curry powder, rice was white rice with a little curry powder only and had green beans and green peas in it. Cabbage was lightly boiled and barely seasoned. Very
