“What a great surprise. Pass this place several times a month and haven’t stopped until tonight. Clean and good is what I walked away with. The little heated area was a nice surprise as it house would have to eat in our car. Nice bathrooms, free ice water and friendly staff. Will recommend this place to others.”

“The Beacon Room is a must do. We ventured upon The Beacon Room last year and had such a great experience that we talked about it throughout the year. We knew when we came back this fall we had to go again. The atmosphere is welcoming, restaurant is cozy and warm. The food.... Amazing. Staff.. amazing. In particular, Brian. We made early reservations for a hi-top (definitely make reservations). We asked if the bar was available when we arrived and it turns out it was.. which is what we hoped for. We had such a great experience with Brian last time, so this was a great surprise. Brian is attentive, personable, listens and very knowledgeable of cocktails and food recommendations. He interacts with customers, knows what they like.. all while handling a full bar. You can also share with Brian what you're thinking of ordering and what appetizer might pair up well with that. He's spot on, too! This year we had the Burrata app.. amazing. Lovely toasted bread with garlic, greens and fresh cherry tomatoes. We ordered the duck (as did I last year) and the NY strip, rare. Both came with the phenomenal Brussel sprouts, mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce. Absolutely fantastic. We each ordered dirty martinis , which were delicious and made perfectly. We will definitely be back next year and will continue to highly recommend The Beacon Room. If you are visiting the cape, we highly recommend you add this gem to your places to visit. You won't be disappointed.”

“Ten Yen is the place that you go to when you want amazing sushi. The vibes/food/drinks are all exceptional, you cant go wrong. The owner is very knowledgeable, my go to is the chefs sampler and the hand rolls are to die for.”

“We recently stayed at the Orleans Waterfront Inn for a wedding. The hotel is centrally located and a good launching spot to explore the outer cape. The view of the cove from our bedroom was lovely and the wedding reception/ festivities were also great. Everyone working at the inn was very friendly and more than accommodating. The rooms were also clean and comfortable.”

“Love the industrial vibe layout, I got a Mexican hot chocolate, a breakfast sandwich and my partner got a cake doughnut and the breakfast tacos. The food was delicious, there was a bit of a wait but it is the off season. Definitely will return!”

“Wonderful restaurant....with a large bar area in a separate area.We split a large ceasar salad between 3...it could have fed 4 or more.Scallops were plentiful...Lamb chops were seasoned perfectly....over white beans....and the asparagus was cooked perfectly as well.The steaming bowl was full of seafood over a small amount of pasta. The broth was exceptional as was the service.”

“I visited Papa Ginos today to get a steak and cheese pocket. It has been my favorite since I worked at Papa Ginos 30 yesrs ago. Rachel made the best sub and I had the best customer service!!”

“They were friendly and helpful. The steamed lobster we ordered was delicious and the Bent Water stout they recommended was a winner, although one of those is plenty ?This is on my list next time I am on the Cape.”

“This is my new favorite restaurant. I don't mean favorite like favorite in Orleans or on the Cape. I mean favorite in Massachusetts. The food-- all of it, and there were seven of us, which is a big party for this small, cozy place-- was excellent. Small plates and bowls, something that made everyone happy from the college vegan-kid to the 79 yo touring (Europe/US) musician. Drinks were also perfect- best caipirinha since Panama. Part of me wanted to keep it a secret, but the better part of me wants the owners to have every success.”

“The best thin crust pizza in the area. We go every Friday night now. This was what Orleans needed, always the same quality and never dissatisfied. The salads are top notch... I had those the first few times until the aroma of the pizza enticed me to try a slice. Now it is difficult to choose what I want. You won't be disappointed.”

“I took the advice of a recent reviewer and ordered a ginger ice cream cone. It's probably the best thing I ate this summer. You can tell the ice cream is homemade and the owners are very nice. They close on 10/1/23 so I have a few more weeks to sample their menu. My grandson ordered a vanilla milkshake and thumbs up.”

“Quaint + cozy. Cottage Street Bakery serves incredible on-the-go pastries and desserts. Two stools inside to sit but other than that, you'll have to opt for a picnic bench out front if you wanted to "eat in".”

“Went in today in the late afternoon and the kitchen was closed for lunch items. Purchased a cold brew and croissant and both were delicious. As I was checking out I was handed a bag with a cup of the quinoa and sweet potato chili. The gesture of hospitality was perfect and the chili was fantastic.Thank youKid-friendliness: Lots of goodies for the kids! A must stop with the kids or the kid in you.”

“On walking in, it did not smell fishy or like dirty fry oil! Just good food! It's a counter service spot with a good menu. The lobster roll was fantastic and full of sweet lobster. Fried clam straps were bland but we made them better with all the condiments. The food overall was fresh and good. I would recommend!Dietary restrictions: Extensive gluten free menu!”

“Been coming since I was a kid 40+ years ago. Fish always hot and delicious. No burgers, FWIW. I live nearby and this is, IMO, best fish and chips in town. Best chowder as well.”

“Delicious burritos with a nice selection to choose from, or you can customize a made fresh to order option of your choice.I ordered the large sized Buffalo-Ranch chicken burrito, which was massive in size, and the ingredients tasted very fresh. They have a small selection of desserts, too. The Bailey's Whoopie in particular caught my eye esthetically. It was such a cute and a tasty treat. It's unfortunate that the prices are so high. Otherwise, I'd come here more often for the good product and friendly service.”

“Had an event at The Alley this past weekend with our youth hockey team…SO FUN! India, Lily, Dusty and the rest of the staff were so helpful and accommodating. Food was awesome (thank you India for helping me make sure we had the perfect amount!). Kids and parents had a great time! “Our first time dining at the Barley Neck. It was a great find.Our server Peter, was amazing and the food didn't disappoint. Peter was so attentive, friendly and added a wonderful touch to our dining experience .Peter had recommended a popular cod dish on the menu and so glad he did . We appreciated his over and beyond service, even to double check that the cod dish hadn't sold out, since it was a hopping Saturday night.I had the garden salad and pizza special and my husband had the cod dish which we shared. We enjoyed every bite of such a wide spread of delicious flavors. If the night couldn't be any better we had great entertainment from a three member band ! This topped off a ideal and joyful evening. Thank you Peter and the skilled chefs at Barley Neck and great band!”

“We went on a snowy Friday and were able to be seated immediately. Food is always great but the winter salad was beyond great. Pizza and portabella sandwich were both satisfying. Host staff were very kind and the owner was making sure everyone was happy.”

“Home port is now open for dinner. Casual atmosphere. We had pad Thai with chicken and fish and chips. Both excellent. The fish and chips had two huge pieces of fish, very crisp fries and tasty Coke slaw. The food was piping hot. Server was friendly and attentive.”

“Professional staff, relatively quick service, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Drinks were made quickly and correctly. There isn't a sign (that I saw) on the outside of the stop and shop, but the Starbucks is definitely located inside!”

“I had the El Diablo sandwich, which tasted great. The chibatta bread was fluffy and complimented the sandwich well. I wish there was a little more filling in the sandwich because it did feel like it was all bread at time.”

“Service was quick and very friendly. Tom Yum soup was extremely flavorful and aromatic! Loved the Bankok salad with tofu - very fresh ingredients, light vinaigrette and wonderful warm peanut sauce on the side - yum! Pad Thai with tofu and veggies and String bean with shrimp in Thai lime chili paste were both delicious! Best Thai food we have had in a long time!! Highly recommend!”

“Before we get to the shenanigans. Service. Service is.... Service, how do I say....slow. But I mean so slow you might want to bring your will with you because you might die waiting to be greeted or to get a drink. They say be prepared, so here you go, you have been warned.Now, the ATM table was painful the first I sat here, but after a couple of visits I became to love it and called it the Captains Table. You are sitting next to the money, with the best outside view, the best inside view, everything the captain deserves. Staff is welcoming, once you finally have one of them arrive at your casket table side, but in the meantime, try to hustle a spicy margarita and a Margherita Pizza, you won't want anything else. Drinks are strong and the food is a solid bar option with great pizzas.But, get the captains table!! You will need to be entertained while you are watching no one come to you. Are you not entertained? ?”

“Great food-calamari w banana peppers to start. Delicious. Cheeseburger club and Cape Cod Reuben for dinner. Both excellent. Service was great. Newly renovated. Only minus-freeze no cold every time the door opens. Go when it's warmer!!”
