Yesterday, September 20th, I ordered a side dish (to-go) of grilled chicken. When I got home and opened it, I was very disappointed. The Chicken was so charred and burnt. BLACK all around the edges.Burnt or "Charred" meat is a well known carcinogenic. It's called Heterocyclic Amines; Which has been linked to increased risk of these cancers: Solorectal Cancer, Stomach Cancer, and Pancreatic Cancer. It's when a piece of meat is cooked way too long on high heat causing the meat to become black.I brought it back the very next day to show them. When I opened up the container, I said to the cook (might be the owner) that the chicken is burnt, black and extremely dry. His reaction was deplorable, he yelled at me in front of other patrons and co-workers. He said; "Lady, that's what "Grilled Chicken" is supposed to look like. Well, I come from a long line of cooks from decades passed.....I know the difference between grilled chicken and BURNT & DRY chicken. Grilled Chicken should have a light golden color, unlike the picture below~So he angrily whipped off his gloves, roughly opened the register, and started taking out the money that the chicken cost. He slammed down money, while still saying out real loud that the chicken was cooked perfectly~! I could not believe the rage in his voice, and how unprofessionally he responded. A good chef would have offered to replace the chicken...His poor and unprofessional reactions are inexcusable in any environment, especially in Food Service.Let me also add to my disappointing experience at Marano's (located in West Peabody-previously known as "Lupo's)....while I was waiting for the food, a young girl that was working behind the counter had gloves on...while waiting for the deep fryer food to cook, she was putting her gloved fingers in her ears as if to itch them, she was also playing with long front braided hair.Ewwwwwww~! So I "discretely" told a co-worker that she may want to tell her to change her gloves after itching her ears & playing with her braid. Her response: "We change our gloves a lot." Yuck, is that before or after she sticks her fingers in her ears and caresses her hair-?? That is so unsanitary~Let me share with you what I learned many years ago when I worked in food service; If a customer likes a restaurant, they may tell a handful of people, but if someone has a bad experience at a food place, like I did, they're going to tell a whole LOT of people.....

I got a chicken marsala with ziti. It came in a big container. However, the plate was mostly pasta. There was very little chicken, mushroom, ham. It tasted fine, but was very little food.

We had the Pizza, Calzones, Arincini, Meatballs, and Garlic Bread. Everything was AMAZING. Better than homemade. The Spinach and Cheese Calzone was the best I've had. Loaded with spinach and cheese with a thin crust. OMG. Was the best! The Arincini (Rice Balls) were also amazing. My wife is Sicilian and these were as good if not better than hers (don't tell her :) ). The meatballs were absolutely delicious and their home made sauce just made everything even better. The sauce was truly authentic as if we were in Italy. I highly recommend this place.

When they first took over from the former owners, they came in like a house on fire. The menu and food was superlative. The prices were reasonable and service was good. But, week after week the quality and portion sizes seemed to reduce while the prices rose. We decided to give them a rest from our weekly rotation. A few months went by we tried them again. Three subs for $45 was the straw that broke the camel's back. More expensive and skimpier than ever. That's the end for us.

Teriyaki steak tip rice bowl all rice 3 pieces broccoli and the steak was 5 thin pieces of steak not worth $17.50 and when brought it back he basically told me that there are pieces missing saying we ate it and brought it back. Not the case. He said they put 1/4 lb steak, not what are they paying 32 dollars a lb gir steak.

Can't beat this place, for a friendly service. Great takeout never be disappointed in your take-out order. They have great steak bombs, great steak bomb calzones. The pizzas are fabulous and price is like everywhere seem to rise weekly but in line with everyone else they have delivery which is excellent. All of their subs are fantastic. Probably the best on the North Shore for subs.

The chicken salad was inedible. It was incredibly chunky (thick pieces of stringy chicken breast) and it was so dry it was starting to turn brown. I’m honestly shocked they let it leave the kitchen. Down the drain it went.

Seriously, hands down, without a doubt, the best Italian food you'll ever eat! My family has ordered nearly every different item on their menu with zero complaints! Their food is beyond delectable and I wish I could order some right now! (It's Monday, the one day they're closed.) Ever since my beloved Italian Gram passed away I've missed the specific flavors and tastes for so long! NEVER would I ever order meatballs so Yati (the owner) sent me one and it was freaking life changing! My whole family is addicted now! I could provide recommendations all day. For instance, the rice bowls, real arancini, the best chicken marsala, Da Sangy is on a whole other level, the seafood is always fresh and perfectly cooked, steak and cheese on point, I'll keep going if you need me to, lol! This restaurant is special and perfect just the way it is. The quality of food is unparalleled!Wheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp
