We happened to see the sign for their bread farmer's market while we were passing by for something else, and we're so glad we decided to duck in to check it out.We ended up grabbing a few loaves, everything was delicious and the person we spoke to was incredibly friendly and sincerely seemed happy to share details about their bread. It's gone on our list of places we intended to stop at everytime we're nearby.

They bake and sell amazing breads of all kinds. Their Farmers Bread is my hands down favorite. It's so flavorful that you can eat it plain. All their bread and rolls are well made and crafted. The cinnamon raisin, marble rye, pumpernickel, etc. Rick, one of the owners, is super friendly as is all of their staff. I always have a loaf on hand or one in the freezer. Keep up the good work!

I am originally from the Bronx, New York. I know good bread. I now live in Carmel, Indiana. Indiana is not known for their bakeries or bread making. I was passing thru Pittsfield and I smelled bread. I stopped into Pittsfield Rye Bakery and was delighted. I bought the marble rye and " death by chocolate" bread. They were delicious!! This bread made me so happy.

I recently purchased a loaf of your plain rye bread at Shaw's Plaistow NH. I was pleased because you don't often find plain rye bread. What a disappointment when I got home and opened the package and smelled the caraway that seasoned the bread. I detest caraway! I find your labeling very misleading and deceitful. When I see a label that says plain I take it to mean not seasoned or flavored. You should label your products correctly not misleadingly!

The rye bread is awesome, but I am also enjoying the chocolate and apple breads. My husband adores the soft slider rolls too. During our visit we had the opportunity to meet the congenial owners and have a brief chat. The owner was gracious enough to add some extra rolls to our order. our niece loved having them for her engagement party. The kindness was much appreciated and we look forward to stocking up on more bread when we return to Pittsfield this fall. In the meantime we will look for it in our local Shaw’s. Highly recommend! When at Berkshires we go at least once. Bread is delicious and never disappoints. This is our second trip to Berkshires and this place was the first stop. We also made sure we went again to bring some home with us. Also the bread freezes really well!
