So I left a cash tip and paid with card upon reviewing my card charges I have been charged a 15% gratuity charge, I probably wouldn't even mind, but the service was severely lacking and the food was only ok. Though I did enjoy the Snow chicken, it was not good enough to justify the 26$ tip...
The food has gotten considerably better as of late, but service has always been delightful. The people who work there are really wonderful.

Decent hibachi restaurant. Nothing over the top great to make it stand out more than any other. Prices reasonable. As we were paying our check the wait person requested that we tip over 20% as it only goes to the chefs and not the waitstaff. We felt bad for them, but that's something that needs to be worked out with management. It was quite awkward. Customers shouldn't be guilted into larger tips because management doesn't treat their staff well. Overall decent meal and decent entertainment. We love Yamato! Best teppanyaki around. Sushi is also really good. Scorpion bowl for two is my go-to drink The filet rare is always perfectly rare (I'm always stunned at how few steak places can cook a steak to order - I'm thinking of you Sofia's). The show never disappoints. Kids love it and lots they can eat. This is our go-to birthday spot.

Portions were OK, food flavor was good but the male server was downright flippant like he hated his job, the female server I got was much better. Most of the staff looked like they'd rather be somewhere else. The sodas had zero carbonation and tasted stale. Not really a place for adults because there are children's photos at the entrance, like a children's chucky cheese except most of the lights don't work, gives off spooky comet pizza vibes.

I am absolutely disgusted that I had to subject my child to eat from this place. My child never eats anything new and unfortunately it had to be the day she chose to eat something new. We arrived around 6pm. and were sat down never to a family of 4; the food was cooked and served hibachi style. My daughter being the picky eater she is started picking at the food and said "there's a bug in my food", meanwhile i'm thinking it's part of the veggies, her dad looked at it turns and says "babe it's a roach". My knees went weak and I was immediately infuriated. I asked for the GM and a woman came over which looked like from the kitchen, definitely did not look like the GM. She had the audacity to ask if I wanted a new plate to which I responded that I did not want anything from that place. She said she did not know what happened. I asked when was the last time inspection was done; she stated she did not know. She said she would take care of the bill. I told her that this was a safety hazard and what she planned to do for all the patron as this was a hazard. She stated she would take care of the bill and never came back. My family and I left and purchased Mcds for the children and I followed up with the Health Dept. as well as social media.
Best Japanese cuisine in Norwood. This place always has a good crowd, fresh ambiance and friendly staff. The Hibachi meals are great as a take out order too

Pretty good sushi for an all you can eat place. Decor is a little dated, but the focus on the food is pretty much there. The hand rolls are good Get the chicken katsu is great Desserts are limited but good!

I was denied service here due to having a service dog. The manager wouldn't let me sit at hibachi and kept asking for an ID card despite this not being an option. He wouldn't listen. He humiliated me in front of everyone despite the fact that he was wrong.
