The food was good. The service was very good.the only problem initially was finding it.

We were looking forward to trying it out. The drinks took forever. I didn't dare order a second drink as my drink came out at almost the same time as our dinner. The steaks were excellent along with the loaded baked potato. I don't mind waiting a little bit but drinks should not take 15mib. Had to ask for water twice. As good as the dinner was I won't be back as to wait for the drinks and an appetizer for that long is not for me. Manager never went around checking on the tables.

I've eaten here a few times in the past, having tried one of the steaks and salmon a couple times. The food, presentation, and service were all excellent.

Started with a lobster bisque and that was enough..ended there too. It was as far from a bisque as possible. No cream, and texture and color of tomato vegetable soup..actually if you look at the 2 pictures posted of lobster bisque by others here, you can get a sense for it, although mine was more of a brown color and thin like soup..just google pictures of lobster bisque and see the difference in color and texture, due to cream and the puree method. Someone at Slack's should look into this..it's a shame they can't get that right..didn't bother with anything else, although was thinking of a filet, but heard the bartender tell another patron they were out of filet..pretty bad for a place only open Thu-Sun..

Today our salmon was overcooked dry and shouldn't have been severed like that

Slack's has a comfortable atmosphere but they need to take "Oyster House" out of their name. I ordered six oysters and the meat was no bigger than a penny, the shells maybe the size of a half dollar. I sent a picture to my friend who eats oysters all of the time and he thought they might have been illegal. I'm not saying that they were, but I have NEVER EVER seen such tiny oysters in my life. The shrimp po'boy was tasty but they made it sound like a sandwich you could pick up when it was actually one you needed a fork/knife for.

Great service, awesome food but they don't have many specials lately. Same meals on the menu. Otherwise I would have given 5 ?'

Went in at 8PM they close at 9PM and they said sorry we are not seating anymore tonight. I said when do you close and he confirmed 9PM. He then said the kitchen is about a hour behind so we can't seat anyone else. I said I don't mind waiting if I can have drinks until the order comes out. He said sorry we can't seat you. That is a bit absurd to me, never got to eat.

We went here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon after playing the slots. Ordered two dozen oysters and they were THE WORST oysters I ever saw in my life. No brine, extremely dry and rubbery and absolutely disgusting! I was so mad that we left a dozen and a half on the table. I didn't want to make a stink with the waitress so we just gave her the money and left. I will never ever go there again! Absolutely disgusting!

Service was nice but everyone in my party got food poisoning, and paid an outrageous amount of money for it.

Things I would rather eat than the food at slacks, in no particular order;2 Cigarettes A book A pigeon The number 5AnythingThe meat in 12 oysters ($38) wouldn't fill a cavity in a baby tooth. I never seen oysters so small or poorly shucked. Calamari with marinara that never showed up. Over fried. Over salted.Serivice - .5 stars. Thanks for showing up.Price - bananas. Oh, I would also rather eat bananas.
