Cool place but 3 scallops with white rice for $40. Love the idea of the place, but a huge disappointment. Feel like we just got fleeced.

Went there for Valentines Day. The entire experience was poor. Tried to keep an open mind but it got increasingly worse. Left without eating my desert. The waitress was terrible and inattentive. Wait for drinks was too long. She forgot about our apps. I ordered med-rare steak; came out well done. Partner has a pasta dish; it looked like a plastic toy meal bc it had been sitting so long. With all the great options in the area; I will not return. Also, I'd been twice before but pre-covid. Forgot how dated the decor was; poor ambiance. AVOIDParking: the lot was full of ice

The food is disgusting. I got a chicken sandwich and the chicken was RAW in the middle, made me sick. It was also very under seasoned and the breading on it was disgusting. On top of that the chicken also tasted like FISH. I do not recommend coming here.

Best food I've had in a long time. Excellent from start to finish, great wine list too. Restaurant is clean and rustic, few frills but had an antique charm to it. I highly recommend the cider donut holes and the duck! The clam chowder is a neat "disassembly" of typical New England chowder, with bacon and fried clams and potato served over/in a bowl of chowder proper. It could easily be a small meal unto itself. It's clear the chef had fun with that one!Staff were friendly and welcoming. Reservations were easy to make. It's clear the Tavern is lovingly kept. The road leading to it is heinous, so drive carefully. There are more potholes and bumps in that road than a Boston street after a whole winter of plowing.Parking: Dirt and gravel lot, plenty of room for the size of the restaurant.

Cozy, warm, and friendly. The menu changes with the seasons, but they always try to keep it locally sourced. During the growing season they have incredible gardens right outside the place where they grow a lot of their produce, herbs, and greens. The outdoor dining and bar in the warmer weather are welcoming and the igloos in the colder months are a special treat.

This used to have great food. After going last week thought it might be a good candidate for Hell’s Kitchen. We were told they have a new chef ?‍♀️

We had come here last year for a work event and loved it. We came back this year and were all extremely disappointed. The food was terrible. We had a group of 9 and tried different things. They were out of fried clams and said they would subsitute with fried scallops. But it did not look like scallops, just mushy breadcrumbs. The bacon wasn't in pieces, the chef had plopped a huge chunk of bacon on top. The bowls were smaller than last year and there was barely any mashed potatoes. One of us was served an ice cold bowl. While some of our meals were being brought out, the chef came up and stated he did not feel comfortable serving the haddock one of us had ordered, and asked to choose something else. Then, the steak was raw instead of medium. We felt bad eating while some of us were still waiting on their meal. The french fries were completely saturated with grease and gross. The new chef really needs to pay more attention to his ingredients and keeping track of what is / isn't available. We all agreed we will not be coming back. Quality and quantity has severely diminished.

Travellers, this very old restaurant down a bumpy dirt road in Plymouth ma is an amazing farm to table experience. Everything was delicious and service is with a smile. The atmosphere is charming. The menu is diverse and hits all the right notes for a great continental American restaurant. This fantastic meal does not come cheap so prepare to spend money. It is worth the experience. I recommend the oysters, the charcuterie, the clam chowder is fantastic, the ahi tuna amazing, and every dessert was scrumptious. Check it out. We recommend.TLDR - expensive but excellentVegetarian options: There were several in all sections, and a delicious vegetarian risotto.

My husband and I always go to Rye Tavern for our anniversary, and this year did not disappoint! We ordered the Roasted Sprouts, so amazing! For entrees we chose the Cranberry BBQ Steak Tips and Filet Minion and it was literally the best steaks we’ve had anywhere. Always impressed with the amazing flavors and wonderful wait staff. Can’t wait to come back!
