I just wanted to add my review to the Fox and hound experience. for me when I arrived at the Fox and hound the gentleman at the came out and directed me to a parking space, which was nice I'm not saying it was all that experience but when I did go into the building, they were asking for a $25 fee to listen to Irish music and they had to ask if I can come in to have dinner, it's a restaurant. Why would I have to ask to have dinner at a restaurant? Nonetheless they asked me if I wouldn't mind sitting in a back room and when I went back there, the gentleman who escorted me and said we will get someone to set up a service for you which never happened and I did pay the $25 fee for a cold appetizers I sat there for a few minutes, and I noticed that a waiter came in and served other people menus drinks. They set the table for them and they started to order burgers which that's what I came in for but no burgers were served. No paper no plates no silverware no water. No one came over to offer to serve me and I think that is deplorable , I just wanted to offer that to you. That's my experience I'm take it as it's worth I will never ever go to the foxhound again.

Used to be a decent midrange ace in the hole spot for a nice weeknight dinner. Overlooking management's poor business decision to rub the credit card fees in customers' faces, we usually had good experiences. Their latest brilliant idea was to remove all the booths to see how many cafeteria style seats they could squeeze in the bar and dining room. On our most recent visit, for some reason, the dining room was off limits and all were ushered into the crowded bar. After 15 minutes or so of not having our presence acknowledged. we decided to leave. Never to return. We don't expect a Michelin 5 Star experience here, but being jammed in elbow to elbow and ignored is not my idea of a positive dining experience. They somehow managed to ruin a pretty good thing. Too bad.

Hello, I recently hosted my daughter's baby shower at the Fox and Hound and would like to share what a wonderful experience it was. The room they choose for us was the perfect size and location inside the restaurant which also has plenty of parking for all of our guest's. We had around 40 people and there was plenty of room for everyone to feel comfortable. They provided extra tables for dessert, and goody bags for our guests in addition to a bloody Mary and Mimosa bar with Coffee, tea and beverages. I have been in the restaurant business for most of my life so I have seen things go not as planned on many occasion , and this was not the case at the Fox and Hound !! Our server and person in charge of taking care of all of us, is named Billy and he went above and beyond making us all feel welcome and did not miss a step in our needs and comfort. The food was also amazing much more than I expected it to be, everyone loved it !!! Thank you, to the Fox and Hound and there staff especially Billy for making it the perfect day for everyone . i've had two events at this establishment. the venue is charming, the food is very good, but the waist staff attending my last event was horrendous. they were so incredibly rude and made us feel like we were putting them out. for example, when i requested a mimosa pitcher refill the bar tender snapped at me and said she didnt have enough. the event ran until 3 pm and at 2:50 they started mopping the floors and cleared all the cups and ice when there were still pitchers of paid for beverages. after we left, a couple guests stayed at the bar and were being ignored by the bar tender. many guests commented on the rude behavior. there was a generous tip included and not a single thank you. its very unfortunate because its a great space but is not worth the rude treatment received.

Wonderful restaurant!! Food, Drink and Service were by far the best I've experienced in a long time. I had a table in the tavern and it was such a great atmosphere. I had the jazzed green salad to start and it was so good I can not wait to go back and have it again. For my entree I had the surf and turf dinner special and it was prepared perfectly!!! Cheesecake for dessert and I'm honestly telling you.... the best meal I have had in ages!! I can not leave out the outstanding service. Stephanie was top notch!! Friendly, attentive and always smiling. Sitting in the tavern on a Friday night was very entertaining! As much as my kettle one Cosmo was made to perfection by Wendy.. listening to her interact with her guests was the icing on the cake. From beginning to end dining at Fox and Hound was a wonderful experience!!

My friend and I had a nice dinner here last night. I had the baked haddock and she had a veal dish., I hate sitting at a tiny 2 top but didn’t say anything. Our server wasn’t very attentive. We had to have someone hunt her down so we could pay our bill as were having dinner before the comedy show. I have seen Steve Sweeney several times since the 80’s when he performed at the Ding Ho in Cambridge. He is a funny guy and always makes me laugh. The problem I have is the other “ comedians.” We sat there through three other acts and didn’t laugh once! They weren’t funny!! If I’m paying $33, I want to be entertained. For the short time Steve Sweeney performed, it’s definitely not worth the money. Since his name is on the club and as a headliner he should perform a longer set. Definitely won’t be going back. It was disappointing.

Ambience is fine. Waitress was nice enough. But the food and drinks were absolutely terrible!!!! My sister and I went tonight for our fathers one year anniversary of his passing. We are extreme foodies and go all over for a great meal. We have both been here a couple of times but not in over a couple of years. First, we got a wedge salad. Th bacon was old and chewy. But not the worst thing we ate. For our entrees, she got the blackened skillet sampler. It was so over salted that it was completely inedible. I got the lobster and shrimp scampi. The seafood did not taste fresh. The shrimp was undercooked. And the sauce was just off. We both had to send our entrees back. Which is something have maybe done one other time in my life. The waitress was surprised and asked if we wanted to try something else. We were very hesitant but decided to try something else. My sister was going to go with a burger to be safe. But she is gluten free. And they were out of gluten free buns and bread!! Something they really should v stocked with especially on a Friday night. There were limited GF options, so she ended up with the chicken. Curry. It was sweet, flavor was off, and just not good. She ate a few bites and gave up. I got the chicken tortellini on special. It was just edible enough, but tasted like jar sauce. And my chicken was not trimmed. Had some fat on it. On top of that, the drinks were awful. The ghost tequila drink was just sour mix and salt. The espresso martini was supposed to be creamy the way they have it advertised. But was a dark brown cloudy dirty color. The dirty martini was all olive juice. We had to send some back and ended up with wine. We did ask to speak to a manager just to provide our feedback. Nothing more. It was an older gentleman who was at the front desk that came over. He let us know that no owner was in sight. And asked what the issue was. We provided all our feedback. I said perhaps it's a new chef? He confirmed it's the same chefs theyve had for years and are no rookies. He seemed very defensive. We spoke about the curry and he mentioned that he gets it all the time and couldn't understand our issue with it. And that he never gets complaints on the entrees (which I find hard to believe). I simply left it at the fact that I guess it's his personal opinion and that we won't be back. Unfortunately I will never be back. I will never recommend. And I will be sure to let as many people know about about this. It's unacceptable. It's not about the money. It's about getting what you pay for. Our bill was $186.00. Which isn't much. Except we left hungry, upset, and not feeling great from the few bites we did have. Also they had no kids menu so I paid $18 for my 4 year old nephews Mac and cheese! We were given horrible food and drinks on an already particularly hard day. I suggest fresher products, new chefs, and less defensive staff!Dietary restrictions: Ran out of gf bread and bunsKid-friendliness: No kid menu

Our waitress never introduced herself, asked or provided any conversation and had the gall to follow us out to the parking lot to let us know she wasn't happy with the tip she received. We were here for three hours and staff didn't refill our water glasses once and when the waitress served me my clam chowder she spilled some of it into my lap and didn't even apologize.Good food and nice decor but the absolute worst service I have ever had at a restaurant.Parking: The lot seems to be smaller than what the indoor seating can accommodate.

My top choice in the Q for a nice sit down. The Fox has hosted some amazing, memorable functions for my crew over the last two years. The food is awesome, the consistency is impressive and there are offerings that only the Fox does right, they stay in your food Rolodex and make you feel good and want to come back. Top choice.
