Def not the best jerk chicken I've ever had, but I got it pulled and close to closing so I can't take away too much praise. The ambiance was great; they have great branding and the staff is excellent. Just a lot of boxes taking up a quarter of the resturant and one table completely taken up with a laptop and other miscellaneous personal items. They are brand new so I'm sure in time it'll change.Either way, service was amazing.Rice, amazingPlantains, amazingJerk chicken, tasted like store baught jerk sauce.Definitely recommend tho as their prices are fair and they give a lot of food per order.Parking: You won't ever have trouble finding parking

None of what I ordered taste like authentic Haitian food. The Haitian chicken was not prepared as what Haitian restaurants would. Usually the fried chicken is actually fried. This one taste as if it was off the grill. The rice had a hint of flavors I was looking for but still does not taste like Haitian rice. The salt and pepper wings taste like regular wings.The Mac and cheese was really good (but not the Haitian Mac I was looking for). The piklez were gross and I love piklez . So in all if you are looking for Haitian food l would recommend somewhere else. Oh yea btw they stuffed my whole order including the shrimp pasta in a thin paper bag that ripped and caused half the chicken and the entire plate of pasta to spill on the ground once walking to the car

Tonight I decided to give Gourmet Kitchen another try. My previous experience when they first opened 2 years ago was ok. I Ordered on line. Was told my order would be ready for pick up at 6:38. When I arrived at 6:40 I was informed that I had to wait 10 minutes because they didn't have the ingredients to make a house salad! The guy lied and said he sent a message so that we could choose something else. We never got a message. So they decided to make a Caesar. I asked for drinks to cover the difference so that I wouldn't have to wait for the salad to be prepared. They were $3.30 each! After I got the drinks I was expecting to leave but my food was actually not ready! I got my food at 6:52. When I got home and opened my food I was very disappointed! My small container of rice and peas with 3 sweet plantains on top. Another small container of dry and bland griot! I hadn't eaten all day and was just to tired to bother.I had been there before when they first opened and they were ok. I just tried it again because my son suggested it. Never again! ??????

I ordered online not knowing this place was 30 mins to an hour away and not only was my food still hot the food still hit too.
Not bad for a late night freshly cooked meal! We arrived after 9pm and they were kind and gracious, cooking us shrimp and grits, fried haddock, pasta, plantains and mac and cheese. I was delighted to find my mac was oven baked. Grits were great, as were the spicy pickled vegetables. Take out remained hot on our 35 min drive home :). Mostly meat options but I think that comes with the territory of this cuisine

Gourmet kitchen is truly a hidden gem. We absolutely love them and have food catered from them for our events. If you love jerk chicken, teriyaki salmon, and Mac and cheese this is the place to go. I highly recommend it. Support your local business.

I went 7/1 around 7pm and the service was horrible. Non existent I should say. I went to go pick up my food, and the worker at the counter was just leisurely chatting with a couple in front of me. We were the only 3 customers in the place. I waited well over 10 minutes for them to finish up their conversation so that I could pay for my food and it just never happened so I walked out. She should have wrapped up the conversation so that she could take care of the next guest. She could have at least acknowledged me by saying sometiing like, “Hey i’ll be right with you.” or “Hi, are you picking up?” I was not even acknowledged. Not to mention how slow she was moving. As a food service worker, I hate to get treated like this when I go out.
