“Boston King Coffee is the BEST coffee shop in the area. I highly recommend Peter’s Iced Coffee and the Turkish Cold Brew. I go almost every morning before work for my usual Large Iced Black and if I have time I’ll go later in the day for a shot of espresso and a bite to eat. I’ve been going to BKC for over 10 years and enjoy my daily chats with Peter. BKC is the absolute best, you will not be disappointed!“

“Kushala Sip Coffee House is a beautiful, clean spot offering a great selection of food and beverages. I ordered a hot Café Latte and a Spanish omelette, and both exceeded expectations. The latte came in a generous glass mug, while the omelette was perfection with layers of thinly sliced potato. The ambiance was serene, with other patrons enjoying their Sunday morning over relaxing bossa nova music. A perfect place to unwind and enjoy quality food and drink. Highly recommend! “Myself and two friends were watching & photographing trains at the Ballardvale MBTA station on Saturday 3/23/24. a Very nasty, rainy day. We decided we were getting hungry and, and noticed a pizza shop across the tracks. None of us really wanted pizza, but we headed that way anyway. As we got closer we saw the sign for LULU's LUNCHBOX next to the pizza shop, and decided to check it out. Best decision ever!!!. I had never even heard of a Shawarma before, but they offered both beef & chicken. A Shawarma is very much like a wrap sandwich, but huge. The young girl in the shop told us that everything was made fresh daily, and this was evident as she cooked the beef & chicken fresh for us. I got the Beef Shawarma, and I have to say, it was absolutely delicious. Both of my companions got the Chicken shawarma, and it theirs looked just as good. The Lunchbox is small with one table, and extremely clean & friendly. I finished my shawarma, and even though I was full, my taste buds wanted more. I regret not ordering one to go for dinner. This place is a hidden gem, and I highly recommend giving it a try. Bob V. Carver, Mass.Parking: Plenty“

“Small local cafe that serves affordable coffee and amazing Italian sandwiches. For over two decades, Cafe Rustica has been a beloved cafe among the locals in this Somerville neighborhood. With classical music gently playing in the background, this quaint cafe offers a soothing ambiance that is perfect for a brief but relaxing stop.I’ve been coming to Cafe Rustica for a quick bite over the past two weeks. After trying their roast beef sandwich on my first visit, I instantly fell I love. The sandwiches here come with a perfectly toasted and pressed paninis, and each bite offered an irresistible crunch. Roast beef itself was just okay, so on my subsequent visit, I got the Italian tuna sandwich. Packed with classic Italian ingredients – like roasted peppers, a drizzle of olive oil, and fresh tomato – it was one of the best simple Italian sandwiches I had in a while. The cafe has a 45-minute limit on table usage, although I'm not entirely sure how strictly this rule is enforced. Despite the crowd during my visits, people didn’t seem to have any issue finding seating. If you’re looking for a simple Italian panini sandwiches, Cafe Rustica might just be one of the best options in the Greater Boston area. Will definitely be back to try more of their sandwiches.Parking: Free 2hr street parking on Somerville Ave (easier to find) & Beacon St“

“Can't believe I've lived in Andover since 1983 and have never been here. The adventure began with the aroma of chocolate when you walk in - amazing. I did a quick jog through the candy store and vowed to take my granddaughters here during their next visit. Next ordered lunch: chicken BLT which was so fresh. Bacon was crispy and they remembered to not add guacamole. Next came the sundae: their list in-house of flavors that are made on site doesn't match the online list (butter crunch ) but the substituted butter pecan was delicious. My only complaint of the day was that the rich, flavorful butterscotch sauce was room temp and not at all heated. All staff were friendly and attentive. Everything felt nostalgic which was so nice. I'll be back.“

“Cozy place to hang, read/write, meet a pal and enjoy a bite or drink, perhaps before a trail or pond walk. Noteworthy is the cafe is a hundred steps or so to writer Eileen Myles' childhood home at 33 Swan Place (as described in her book Inferno, cover shown in pic, where her 1960's youthful desire and ennui quietly raged and intellect ached to find a more suitable environ). Good cafes in small towns can to be havens.. had adolescent Elieen had this then she might never had felt so isolated and frustrated.“

“This restaurant is located across the street from Davis Square. It has a simple menu with the main entrees including only Banh Mi and Rice Bowl/Noodle bowls. Wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for traditional Vietnamese food or pho. But all to say, their pork rice noodle bowl was solid with a generous portion of meat and their papaya salad was good as well (not too spicy). This restaurant is definitely Americanized but is a good local place to try out if you’re in Davis Square.“

“One of the best coffee programs in greater Boston; highlighting craft roasters, many of them local. Rotates pretty regularly so there’s always something new.Decent vegan options which are super appreciated. Big fan of the vegan baked goods and breakfast sandwiches. Lots of interesting looking non-veg stuff beyond the standard egg/cheese breakfast sando (which they have too, don’t freak out). The bagels are really good.Definitely a step up from a lot of the other cafes in Cambridge/Somerville.“

The menu, brimming with breakfast and brunch classics, left us spoilt for choice. “Healthy, tasty, inventive vegetarian food at a fast food place! Seriously super good! This location is in a strip mall with easy parking in Burlington close to the mall. I like the open kitchen concept where you can see the all the fresh ingredients being used. We tried a few things on the menu, The Buffalo (sandwich), The Bridgewater (sandwich) and rosemary fries. All came out fresh and hot. All were delicious but my favorite was The Bridgewater. The creamy sauce with the lightly fried crimini mushrooms and fresh Kale.. so yum!! I've never had a combination like this and it was absolutely divine. I also liked the fries, they were lightly fried and didn't feel very oily. They reminded me of In N Out fries which I love. Will definitely be frequenting here more!“

It is a close by spot to Tufts so there are often students eating in and enjoying their day. There is plenty of space inside as well as outdoor seating for bright summery days. Staff is helpful and friendly and appear to be working as a cohesive unit despite how busy it can get. I've tried out several of their breakfast foods and you cannot go wrong with what you pick. My favorite is their Nutella french toast which is a sugary delectable delight that you will not regret if you have a sweet tooth.“

I had a chocoweggli and the spinach and cheese croissant (next time I would get it warmed) but both were delicious.
