This place was awful. Was there for a family friend's birthday party and all the food they gave us was obviously reheated. The shrimp salad was way too cold and the calamari had the texture of rubber. The Caesar salad dressing was not viscous and was solid, refrigerated. The spaghetti with salmon and shrimp as well tasted very buttery and the middle of the noodles was a much darker color than the edges, same properties as microwaved noodles.

I generally don't post negative reviews but this is an exception. A family member had her Christening reception at the Mirage tonight. Not only were there a number of staff that were outright rude but there was no indication of when (or if) we would be getting food. It genuinely appeared as though the staff did not want us there or want to do their jobs. My son and I had to leave before we even got a chance to eat. There is considerable room for improvement here.

I have been going to Mirage for years, and last week was my first time after the big renovation. The owners redid the whole place, the kitchen, dining room, THE POOL!!, lights and everything. the place is amazing and fun. these days there just arn't any good places that give you what your moneys worth, but Mirage has definatly stepped up its game. 5 stars all the way

Like the previous reviewer mentioned, this place has not been renovated in the 30 years. It is falling apart and it looks disguising. In addition the heating system has some issues and it is cold inside in addition to dark and gloomy. Food is OK, on par with other Russian restaurants that are in Boston. The best part was a live band. That's about it. If you desire Russian food, go to Boston/Brighton/Brookline. Plenty of better options over there.
