“Good Sushi and suburbs are two concepts you don't always link together. Wakefield, in particular, was a bit of a food culture change for us, having grown up in the city and having lived in Somerville for years, so when this place showed up, we just had to try it. Well, we were blown away. This is some of the best sushi I've had in New England. My wife and I both have some dietary restrictions, which can be tricky with Japanese food, but Allen and his family were extremely accommodating and made us feel like 1st class citizens. Everything we got was fresh, made to order and was extremely enjoyable. I highly recommend the omakase menu if you have the time and appetite, but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail put this place heads up just about any sushi shop around.“

“We made reservations online for the Omaska. It was $300 which broke down to $120 per person with tip and tax. The tables were perfectly space out. They gave us a 2 hour limit which was enough time for the 12 course Omaska. Presentation on everything was amazing. Each course was fresh and delicious in their own way. It was hard to hear the man over his mask so I couldn't get any names. We had uni, tuna belly, scallops, and more. All the Courses were small but packed with favor. You can take there was attention to detail in the ingredients and presentation. Definitely, worth the money was a special event like a birthday. Would definitely come back“

“My friends and I arrived at Chiharu right when it opened on the weekend, and it was not too busy. There is a small parking lot next to the driving school with designated parking spots for this restaurant, but the space is a bit tight there. There is also only one server, so the service is not exceptionally fast. I ordered sashimi salad, salmon sashimi, scallop sashimi, kiss of fire roll, spider roll, phoenix roll, spicy titanic roll, and torched yellowtail roll. My favorite was the spicy titanic roll, but I also quite enjoyed the phoenix roll and kiss of fire roll. The sashimi slices are a bit thin in the sashimi salad, but I did enjoy the variety of fish and vegetables present. My favorite sashimi was the yellowtail, which tasted quite fresh and delicious. All the seafood in the rolls tasted really fresh and good, including the shrimp tempura. My least favorite was the torched yellowtail roll as I did not taste much yellowtail, and the eel felt lackluster. The scallop sashimi was alright, and the salmon sashimi was on the leaner side. I enjoyed the careful effort put into the presentation of all these sushi. Unfortunately, their other special rolls do not sound as appealing to me, but I would come back again since their sushi tastes fresh!“

Went during a Saturday lunchtime. Very few customers until close to end of lunch special time. On-street parking, so limited by time of day and other business customers on the same street. It's a little "hole in the wall" place; easy to miss. In all fairness, I would try it once more to see if other dishes are better.“

The uni from Maine was more like sweet Japanese uni and better tasting than San Diego uni. The hamachi kama was a treat and huge. We landed on Omori Izakaya.Parking was easy right on the same street and plenty of spots available at dinner time on a Saturday.We got there earlier than our reservation. We were seated immediately with maybe few more tables open. We order some Yakitori and appetizers to start. The pork belly, chicken gizzards and chicken hearts were extremely flavorful. The chicken skin was crunchy perfection. The octopus was grilled to perfection with a little of mixed spices on top. Hotate Kaiyaki came out on a little warmer with a little flame and very cool presentation. Tako Yaki was good as well.For main courses we order chicken katsu dinner and dragon roll and caterpillar and sashimi combo. The kids love the chicken katsu. They also loved the maki rolls. Sashimi also fresh.Overall we had a great time. The food were very good. The stars were the Yakitori skewers.Parking: Plenty of meter parking on the same street as the restaurant.“

We had the dragon roll, tuna rice cakes and the shrimp noodles The 8 piece dragon roll was very good, with just right crunch for the tempura shrimp. My favorite was the tuna rice cakes. These bite sized pieces had a layer of tuna that melted in your mouth, along with the perfect tasting cakes which were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The only disappointment was the shrimp noodle dish. Although tasty, this shrimp in this dish were a bit tough. The noise level was too much for us but I would return on a different day.“
