One of the best lobster rolls I've had on this trip and my wife's lobster pasta was definitely up there as well. Would recommend.

First time at Finz...Meh..Sushi was very pedestrian, crab cake was terrible. I know I'm not at a crab shack in Maryland, but come on. Fell apart and taste was yuk.The good>>service was top notch, front of house very well run...very polite staff across the board. Our server Devyn outstanding! Great views, excellent vibe...dinner rolls and calamari were good..Martinis with blue cheese olives very good...worth 300$ party of 4...nope...I'm not a dining diva and maybe my expectations were too high...I was just so stoked to go. Unlikely to return.

The location is magnificent. The service staff was friendly, always with a smile on and polite. The food was ok. The Paella was essentially rice with peas in a tomatoes sauce with fried calamari on top. The crab stuffed fish (forgot the fish, maybe haddock), stuffing was mushy and did not taste like crab. The mash potatoes were good. And the Sangria was delicious, of course like everywhere too much ice. I may give this place a try again and maybe try other dishes mainly because I loved the location (made me feel I was on vacation!) and because the staff was amazing.

Had a great dinner here with my family. Service was awesome, ordered a couple different special sushi rolls(booster shot, Mt Fuji, and one that was purple but I forget the name) and the presentation was absolutely incredible. They were delicious as well! Restaurant was clean and plenty of space at the table. I will be coming back here next time I'm in Salem.Kid-friendliness: Server and staff were great handling my six year old, brought her food out with our appetizer and she loved the ice cream sandwich dessert that is a part of the kids menu.

I really liked the food there. I ordered a paella and it was delicious. I also had a craft beer, very good!There are several options of dishes and drinks. The service was very friendly, but one of the requests was not initially met. It wasn't busy when we went tonight. Our server was a little aloof though. It took a while for her to come over and ask about drinks. She refilled a sprite, by adding water to it.The bread was $2 for 4 tiny rolls. One of the rolls was hard and crunchy, and yet the middle wasn't cooked. The other three pieces were fine.The clam chowder was really good.It's a seafood place that doesn't sell clams and scallops, so therefore no fisherman's platter. I thought that was weird.The fish and chips were good ish. The fish was fine, wasn't crazy about the fries.The calamari was good, well cooked but lacked salt and pepper, which we just added on our own.

I don't think Pickering Wharf has had a truly excellent restaurant since The Chase House closed around 1989. I ordered the blue cheese fillet mignon today. The fillet was average but poorly cooked, the mashed potatoes were cold. I sent it all back because it wasn't hot and I got back more cold potatoes! So, at this stage, if anyone remembers the consistently fantastic food from the old Chase House, well, you can't beat the location!

Quayside dinning in Salam. Restaurant is nicely set up, well spaced tables and a pleasant evening hubbub. Server was polite and efficient. Menus was typical for an upper mid-market costal restaurant and all of our food was well cooked and flavourful. Good selection of local beers. Front of house seemed a little overwhelmed on our visit and we were seated around 30mins after our reservation.

The food at Finz is always excellent. I am partial to the BBLT and the Spicy Tuna Sushi. The bartenders and waitstaff are always super kind and even when I bring my dog in they are very accommodating for him. The inside is always very comfortable but the highlight of my summers is watching the sunset on the back deck with a glass of wine. I can be a little picky about wine and how I like it served but they never make me feel like a bother.
