Oh my god I wish I lived here so I could eat at this restaurant more frequently. Everything was exceptional, so thoroughly thought out and balanced. Incredible handmade details making for an obscenely delicious meal. The popovers are so good it's almost obscene. Think croissants but even better. Paired with the beef drippings and honey garlic butter and you've got a dance of flaky bread exterior, soft interior, and flavor contrasts galore. SO good. Also tried the duck French onion and the squash bisque. So unique and layered with flavors! For more main energy, tried the special of the lamb and pork sausage which was exceptional. Perfectly cooked and really bright flavors. Also had the stuffed roasted peppers which had so much to enjoy. For dessert, my husband got the pear cake and he loved it. I got the matcha chocolate dome and I was floored. It had exceptional taste and textural elements. Drinks and service were excellent too! Honestly, this is one of the BEST restaurants I've been to in a very long time. Its menu is creative, well thought-out, and seriously high quality. Prices were really fair for the care that goes into the food.

Had a great meal here today for Easter. Our waitress Martina set the tone as soon as we sat down with a very warm and friendly greeting and great energy. There was a 3 course prix fixe menu for the holiday and 3 optional appetizers. We decided to try each of the apps and a variety of the prix fixe items. Apps were a popover, deviled egg, and a hot cross bun. All were perfectly prepared and delicious. For the starter course, we went with an asparagus dish that had prosciutto, grits, and a deep fried egg! This was excellent. For dinner, we had a seafood stew and a skirt steak. For deserts, cheese cake, and carrot cake. All items were well prepared, well seasoned and delicious. I really enjoyed the quality of food here and the attention given to balancing flavors and seasonings. The former bank atmosphere was very nice, and the bathrooms were clean. The service was great, and Martina left us feeling happy. We will definitely be back.

Ledger is a fantastic spot for dinner in downtown Salem. Actually I've enjoyed great brunches and lunch there as well. The must have dish here is the popovers. But on a girls night there's a reasonably priced bottle of Prosecco and we split some apps at the bar. What I truly love about ledger is looking at the beautiful design of the ceiling, the vault, and the other remaining structures from when the restaurant was a bank. Ledger is more of a treat than an everyday stop but I love it nonetheless.

Loved this restaurant. Had brussel sprouts, popovers, steak (see pics). Drink was amazing, I may have had 2 :) Wonderful staff who was willing to accommodate my request for a group photo outside the restaurant after our meal. I will definitely be back!

Food came out literally burnt. Burger was over salted and burnt as well. I’m sure it’s a great restaurant based on all the reviews so just a bad night for the chief. It happens. All good. So 4/5 stars.

I appreciated the care they take. Many wait professionals in restaurants these days are a bit mechanical. At Ledger they take the time to establish rapport without being overbearing. Staff is very knowledgeable. All around great experience.
We have yet to have a dish here that we do not love. Everything is always so well executed by the kitchen and prepared with great attention to detail. The FOH staff are also extremely welcoming and attentive. Thank you Ledger for always being memorable and a great night out.

This is our favorite restaurant! This week, we had the biscuits and grave. OMG...it was fantastic. The staff is so accommodating and the CHEF is in a closs of his own. Don't miss this jewel!

The best brunch my family has ever had! The chicken and waffle is to die for. The eggs Benedict is served on big English muffins made by Ledger. Their signature bloody mary comes in an enormous mug and received raves around the table (I had the mystery mimosa which was yummy). Service was friendly and food was brought to the table by any server who had the hands at the time it came out so it was nice and hot. It's a little pricey, but worth it. Truly exceptional!

First time dining at Ledger tonight and we absolutely loved it. The food was wonderful (we both got the Cod special and it was incredible) and the servers were very friendly and accommodating. The martinis were very good. We sat at the bar and will definitely be back!
Ledger is one of our favorite restaurants. You know its good when you are raving about the brussel sprouts. Everything is plated beautifully and the food is rich and comforting. The staff is excellent, very friendly and well informed about the menu. I think our server was Martina, and she was lovely. Even the mocktails are top notch, and its really nice to go to a place that offers them as an option.

Boothes and tables were too close together. The noise level made it almost impossible to have a conversation with the person 2 ft from me. However, the food was simple but the best meal I can remember eating, ever from anywhere. We ordered the flat iron steak entree and lemon tart. Beautiful presentation. A lot of consideration went into playing with texture. Ambience was sophisticated without being pretentious. Wonderful evening. We will come back.

Sunday Hip Hop brunch is incredible. Ledger is my favorite restaurant. The food, the space, the service and the vibe are all lights out! Brunch is already the best meal to go out for, but Ledger makes it better between the perfect bloody marys to the gourmet craft donuts and pop tarts (yes, gourmet pop tarts). Outstanding experience top to bottom, every single time i come here, brunch, lunch or dinner. Keep being amazing.

Expensive but very good meal. The tuna tartar was outrageously good and the skirt steak was melt in your mouth and flavorful. Beer and wine selection was excellent and the service was a little slow but very attentive. The manager even came over and gave us the name of the liquer in my wife's drink. Very nice touch.
