This place is heaven! The man behind the counter was super sweet and helpful with explaining the desserts. The atmosphere is welcoming, and I loved sitting at the bar facing the window, it made for great people watching. I ordered a café mocha, which was sublime, and the desserts were amazing. I can’t wait to go again!

Barista was not exactly friendly. And the coffee was pretty bad..bitter and watery. We visit alot of coffee shops and though would not say we are coffee snobs.. we know good coffee and this isnt it.Heads up also.. save your receipt .. theres a code on it to be able to use the restrooms... which I think is pretty pathetic for a coffee shop that benefits from Salem's tourist trap.

The server fails to engage with you. If prompted for information on the menu she rolls her eyes. Just bad

The Red Line Cafe is slightly off the main strip is Salem making it the perfect location to dodge crowds. This cafe is staffed with the most helpful and wonderful employees. My group just ordered coffees but we enjoyed sitting in the spacious cafe. I would absolutely recommend this coffee shop!

Only stopped by for a coffee and use the wi-fi. The wi-fi seemed not to be working and when I asked about this I was given an unpleasant answer. We left immediately and also disposed of our coffee since it was only average. I can only recommend this place if you want to be spoken to in a rude manner.

This was my first time ordering. I got the spinach and feta pie and had to save it for later. I took it out of the fridge (pastry was still crispy!) and reheated it (350 for 8-10 min), and OMG, it was so good. The spinach and feta were both prominent without too much salt. The pastry was PERFECTION.

No welcome, felt like we were an interruption of her work not the main cause of it. No smile, no thank you, abrupt service. Chai latte far too strong, too much syrup used. Won't go back.

This place kind of killed our long weekend vibe. We stopped into Salem for a walk some lunch and coffee and decided to go here. We ordered two hand pies, chicken and spanakopita and my husband ordered an espresso. We knew something was wrong when they immediately pulled the pies out of the case and gave them to us. So here we are walking to a table with room temp hand pies. No mention of heating them from the staff. The spinach pie was passable at room temp but the chicken pie felt like were eating cat food or something. You could tell the pies would have been wonderful if they just microwaved it for 45 secs or something. The espresso seemed to be a half cup of black coffee as it also came out immediately and I'm told "tasted worse than a burnt Keurig" We also weren't given a receipt and they had coded bathrooms which is just obnoxious because then we didn't have the code. The restaurant itself and its menu are attractive and have a lot of promise. The location is really nice. The bathroom was clean. Service was just really really bad today. And it was not at all busy.

Just very basic. Nothing spectacular. And PLEASE CLEAN THE BATHROOMS!!! (It looks like the last time it was done was during their installation,???)

CREDIT CARD FEE BEWARE- need to call out this business for thier credit card fee practices, as a recap, credit card processing fees are a business expense for the business to cover. Meanwhile this location charges credit card fees to the customer of over 10% of the transaction, this practice needs to end. It's 2023 and cash isn't king anymore it's time for businesses to understand that these are thier business expenses and they shouldn't be charging these fees to customers. If your gonna raise your prices do so and compete on those prices but adding these fees is deceptive
