We were very interested in trying out this Japanese Restaurant after driving by for many years. My wife and decided to stop one afternoon for lunch and as we started to walk into the front entrance we were taken back by it's appearance. Upon reaching he door we had to stop and really look all around this entrance which just had us wondering if we should continue on. Well sad to say, appearances are everything, we just couldn't see ourselves eating there from what we saw. I have been reading the reviews and am quite surprised to learn that the ratings seem to be very good as far as the food is concerned. However we more than likely will decline and just leave this restaurant to those who consider it to be their cup of tea.

I constantly stop getting some food here. I enjoyed the rapid service and well cooked food. 5 stars.

Sake is always such a pleasure to eat at! My grandmother has been coming here for decades, and it’s been our go-to for lunch dates ever since I was little. The sushi is fresh, the miso soup is quite frankly the only miso I’ll ever love... and honestly, I don’t think I’ve disliked a single thing I’ve ever ordered here. Since I’ve been out of state for college, I always find myself missing the food (especially the vegetable tempura- you won’t find a crispier tempura anywhere else!)

We arrived at this spot for lunch. we heard about this spot from many people. Well, we were not disappointed. the staff were so friendly and we felt good. The food was just great. We had a great time and we shall definitely come back again. Highly recommended.

Seems like this place is past their heyday. Not sure how you can call your restaurant Sake but not serve Sake. They also advertise for Japanese beer which they don't serve. They food was mediocre sushi. They charged me almost $5 for a glass of "fresh" pineapple juice that was very surely from can. I asked to switch to a Sprite and I got charged for both. This may have been an impressive place a while ago but it now seems like a shadow of better days.

So-so rolls, not tasty tea. We went there in spring 2019 for the first time just to try their cuisine, so we started ordering some rolls. The waitress was surprised we didn’t order anything else, started asking us why. Then when we called for her to get us some drinks, and she kept asking what else, we didn’t want anything, because we didn’t like their rolls at all. But she kept insisting on us ordering more food, without even asking if we were satisfied with the first order. When we refused to order more food she expressed some irritation and did her best to make sure that we feel uncomfortable.

While visiting Sake they were not very busy. Actually my husband and I were the only people there. Surprisingly the food was delicious. The price is reasonable. Also the customer service was phenomenal. I'm so glad I went.

Our go to sushi restaurant in Saugus. Friendly staff. Fresh sushi, order the O Toro fatty tuna when they have it, melts in your mouth. Good selection of maki rolls and will also make hand rolls. The garlic steak is even really good if you are not into sushi.

I love this place, but i believe they got rid of their liquor license recently and i do love me some hot sake. Also the service has sadly gotten worse over time and they never ask if i want dessert anymore, its sad because this used to be such a great restaurant. Big corporations are trying to buy out all of Rt one, go here while you still can especially if you love sushi.

Not sure why we never stopped here before. Probably because it looks like a dive from the outside. But we stopped on our way out of the airport in a snow storm and were pleasantly surprised. The waitress was great and the food was good standard Japanese fare. The entrees come with a rich miso soup and a substantial salad. The katsu was done perfectly and the tempura was spot on. The gyoza was the way it is supposed to be and the sashimi was good. This was a pleasant experience. Looks can be deceiving.

A favorite place to stop after a flight and on our way home to Maine. Always delicious with great service and for a very reasonable price.
