I visited on New Year’s Eve and purchased some chocolate chip cannoli dip and cannoli chips. They were delicious. Gerardo’s had a lot of other desserts that looked delicious, so I think I will go back and try some another day.

Stale and overpriced.I’ve been to a lot of bakeries and this has to be one of the least impressive ones I’ve seen. There is a decent selection but so many of their items are stale and poor tasting. I’ve never had such a bland slice of cheesecake (that cost $5 mind you!) until I visited this bakery. I didn’t think cheesecake could taste like paste until visiting Gerardo’s. Cake is also stale and mediocre.It’s laughable that BJs/Wegmans have better and more fresh cakes and cheesecakes at a cheaper price point

I've held back so many times about writing a negative review about Gerardo's but I just can't any more...I went to the Shrewsbury location the other day and bought a cake pop and a PB and jelly cupcake. They were terrible! The cupcake was dry! And awful tasting...they tasted like the refrigerator, and the frosting was awful too. ? I have had at least one bad experience at both the West Boylston and Westborough locations and many at the Shrewsbury location. I only wish I could get my money back for ALL the terrible food! At the Westborough location, not only were the bakery goods awful, the customer service was too! She was rushing us and completely unfriendly! However, the Shrewsbury location always seems to have the nicest staff, too bad the food doesn't match. I've finally learned my lesson and I will not be patronizing Gerardo's ever again. ?
Absolutely love the cakes here at Gerardo’s… I highly recommend, I travel three times a year, an hour away just for there cakes… you must try

Not great. Wifey and I spent 5 minutes perusing the MASSIVE selection, and the workers kept asking if we were ready. Service had bad observational skills, I guess. We settled on a lobster tail and a limoncello cake. There's no indoor seating, so we sat outside in an attempt to enjoy our little treats. Limoncello cake was no good, tasted like box cake but had the consistency of a brick, atleast it wasn't dry. The lobster tail was hard as a rock, you could seriously bonk someone with that thing. Bring a steak knife if you wanna crack one of those suckers open. The cream was a good consistency, but once again, tasted like it came from walmart. Eduardo should seriously consider not mass-producing hundreds of pastries (because they end up sitting in the cases for days) and focus on fewer, better tasting pastries. Quality over quantity, yes? Atleast it was cheap. Gerardon't eat here. Pagliaccio!
