Everything you want from a breakfast spot. Lightning fast wait times and staff, good sized portions, reasonable prices, it's really a good deal. Only minus is the decor, can feel a little like an office, but overall very little to complain about.

The service was great! Very fast and accommodating, we brought our dog and we had plenty of space for her.The food was good, but nothing impressive. I got the omelet. The portion size is generous and I would come back in the future.

Get the grilled mashed potatoes, you won't be disappointed. There maybe a wait on weekends but it worth it.

So sad. Ball Sq has been in our top two breakfast places for many years. Yesterday will be our last visit. The last few times we have eaten here it was as if there is a new chef. The batter for Belgian waffles is tasteless and doughy no matter how crispy they try to make it. Yesterday they wanted to charge me $9.50 to add strawberries & blueberries! The waiter thought that was high, and maybe a mistake, but there didn't seem to be anyone to ask. I opted for the $9 small fruit plate, ugh. Regretted it. Overall, we spent $58 for two for breakfast -- a poached egg plate, waffle and fruit. $4 for 3T of real maple syrup? One coffee drink & a soda. We tipped 22% because our waiter was busting arse and under-staffed. I should have been more attentive to the prices before I ordered. I eat out 4-5 times per week so I am used to recent inflation. But this bill was painful for food I didn't eat. FYI, the woman next to me also asked about a kitchen change. She also eats here often and she left a lot of her usual mushroom omelet. She also wondered if chef has changed. Sigh.

First there's no wait list. You hope they remember you. The food was average. I ordered eggs Benedict, the eggs were over cooked and the sauce was blend. I heard great reviews from friends, not true.

This place outgrew its ability to provide quality service. I remember the days that the owner would walk around and show pride in the business. I went in today, got seated. Didn’t get a menu or even a greeting from any member of the wait staff. So unfortunately I left.

I have been meaning to try out Ball Square Cafe and decided to stop by around 2pm on a Saturday. It was not as packed but still busy considering how they close in about an hour. I quickly ordered the Coconut Macaroon French Toast while my boyfriend ordered the Traditional Eggs Benedict. The coconut macaroon French toast was amazing! It looked like a lot, but in reality, each bite was not overwhelmingly sweet. It had the perfect amount of raspberry flavor prevalent while each side of the toast was sprinkled with coconut flakes. I wish the vanilla drizzle was more prominent, but it was overshadowed by the raspberry drizzle, which was fine. The eggs benedict was drowned in hollandaise sauce, which my boyfriend found a bit overwhelming. I thought it was fine as the flavor was not overly savory, making you tired of the dish. The bacon tasted pretty good in quality as well. I enjoyed how their home fries were cooked to perfection. They were soft and tender. I would love to come back to try out other items on their menu. I left the restaurant feeling full and content.

Grabbed the corned beef hash eggs benedict. The hash was quite good and I liked the potatoes. Service was slow but it was a very busy Sunday!

Absolutely outstanding!! Can't wait to go back. The owner was there and he even took some time to speak with us. We had a large group and despite that our food was timely and very good. Our waiter was awesome and we tipped him with awesomeness as well. Will definitely be a must stop anytime we are close by.

Ball Square cafe has been my favorite spot for breakfast or brunch for years. So glad they were able to expand their space! Excellent food (menu, portions, the kitchen consistently nails it) and amazing people. If you haven’t been, go!Vegetarian options: The veggie sausage is quite good.

Our go-to breakfast spot. Very large servings and reasonable prices. Wait staff are professional and fast. And yes, it's nice to not have to get your own coffee.Omelets here are huge, you won't be sorry. But the corn beef hash is my favorite. I tried the french toast for the first time and wow is it decadent. Will be hard to go anywhere else, honestly.
