Reasonable prices and good amount of food! I really enjoyed the crispy chicken khao soi! The khao soi was not very spicy, mild but the tables are provided with condiments where you can add spices to taste. Thai iced tea and thai iced lime tea both yummy. Friendly service and super quick to get your orders! The dishes came out super quick! Pretty small restaurant but cute interior, and there was no wait around 2pm on a Saturday.

I will definitely come back tho! ?Yesterday I tried boat noodle soup and Yen ta four noodle soup. The tastes of both are ok but a bit bland for me compared to other Thai noodle restaurants I tried in the US before. We need to put some condiments to bring more flavor. The stir-fried sukiyaki (special menu) is over-expected. TASTE GOOD just like in Thailand. And there’s a ton of seafood in the dish for just about 11 bucks! So yummy and cheapHowever, I still recommend it for those who want to try authentic Thai street noodles at a reasonable price. ??

Dakzen is a very special place. Highly recommend the Khao Soi. One of the best dishes i’ve ever eaten. Creamy. Spicy. Delcious. They have many other tasty dishes here too but the Khao Soi is my absolute favorite. The dining room is small so be prepared to wait a little bit. I usually eat here for lunch on a rainy day. That’s the best time to go. The wait is usually short. Lunch/Dinner rush on a nice day be prepared to wait longer. Food comes out quickly. You can be added to a wait list when you get there so you can walk around without losing your spot. Highly recommend. 10/10

Came here on a Tuesday afternoon to celebrate a birthday and had a great lunch! There was plenty of parking and seating at this time. It's hard to miss Dakzen's yellow exterior, and I liked the vibes inside as well--bright, comfortably spaced tables, and good music.- Khao soi ($12.95): Flavorful, creamy coconut broth. The egg noodles were cooked well (al dente), and I liked the crunchiness of the fried egg noodle ball. I would have preferred a soft boiled egg as is typically served with noodle dishes, and the chicken was dry, but I enjoyed this dish overall.- Boat noodles ($12.95): I liked this slightly more than the khao soi, but the flavor profiles are completely different, so you can't really compare the two. This dish tasted similar to Vietnamese pho but with a sweeter and more sour broth. The rice noodles were cooked well, and the pork was not as dry as the chicken was for the khao soi. I also enjoyed the crunchy, fatty pork rinds.- Larb gai ($12.95): This doesn't come with rice, so I ordered rice as a side for an extra $2.45. However, I was hoping the dish came with lettuce, as I think that's how I've typically seen it eaten. I thought this was going to be a salty dish, so I was pleasantly surprised that it had more of a zesty, citrusy taste. All of the dishes had a slight kick but were not nearly as spicy as I expected based on the number of chili signs on the menu. The portion sizes were great for the price, and our server was friendly.Pro tip #1: If you have leftover broth, it tastes great with rice.Pro tip #2: Bring cash for a 10% discount.I always order the same thing when I go to Thai places (namely, pad Thai or pad see ew), so I'm happy that I got to try new dishes that I haven't seen elsewhere.

It can get crowded fast in their small space and you may have to wait on a busy evening but it's worth it! Food is fresh and so flavorful.

Thought it was pretty decent. We ordered larb Gai (a lime spicy chicken dish) and a beef pad Thai. The larb gai was a tad bit spicier than I’mUsually comfortable with, but overall tolerable. I thought pad Thai was good, and not too sweet, but the beef was a little tough. My friend who’s been to more Thai places said it’s pretty standard, but I’d go back.Food came quick, though place is kind of small so you will overhear all the neighboring tables conversations. The playlist is great Thai pop. Cash discount was 10% and we paid $15pp for lunch for reasonable portions.

Great authentic Thai food. If you like spicy food then this is a great place. They have some nonspicy dishes too. Place is a bit small so prepare to wait for a table bit well worth it. Khao Soi is a must try.Parking: Walking distance from Davis Square

The food is good. The service is quick but doesn’t feel rushed, and the people making this place tick have always been friendly. It’s a Davis staple.

Jan 2024: party of 2Drink was delicious! Never had anything like it and the citrus enhanced the sweetness mixed hues. The ramen is really good with many textures and its pretty spicy and you can add more- on the table there are many more options to add into your food plate. Appetizer shaped like triangles was not what I expected its simple ingredients and squishy interior which I wasnt a fan of but you may be. Anywho this is a great spot to try!

Excellent food. Friendly staff. Effective management of waitlist. Larb Gai was fabulous but also almost burnt my tongue off. The Khao Soi is not to be missed. It always delivers, though I ask for extra pickled mustard greens because they are wonderful. One day I’ll try everything on the menu.

One of the best street Thai restaurants around Boston! We have a lot of quality Thai places in Boston, but Dakzen stands out by focusing on street-style dishes, having more than your typical pad thai and drunken noodle options, and a smaller, but focused menu.
