It's so comfortable as it is - because it is just a pub. But wait, think a one lane bowling alley with tables down the side facing the bar with someone in overalls playing something 'grovin' at the end while you chill. The there's the Cuban you can't get enough of to go with the black and tan. Add the locals, more music, Mary, the brews, weird specials and it doesn't get better. “You would never expect this to be such a cool restaurant from the outside, it is sort of hidden in a parking lot behind some other building…. But once you walk in the door you will love the charm and warmth. Everything about dinner was perfect. We had mussels, burgers, fish & chips, short rib pie and they the bread pudding desert. “First time visiting Boston, this place was recommended. I've visited a lot of Irish pubs but this one stands out as not trying to out shamrock everyone. It's old school and it's cool with the men in white shirts and ties, hardwood bars, dim lighting and great seating layout. We both had fish and chips and I had a cup of chowder. Food was excellent. My wife said it's the only fish and chips she's ever had that was better than mine. Service was good considering they were covered up busy. As a rule we don't eat twice at a location while on vacation but this one is tempting to return to. Prices were very reasonable for a larger city. I honestly expected to pay double what we did. Highly recommended if you're looking for what an Irish pub is supposed to actually function like.“

“Went for a quick lunch and sat in a booth, across from the bar. The food and prices were great. The service, from the bartender, was good and friendly. The bathroom was actually pretty clean. “You want a true local pub then this is it. Its not big and there is no parking as its in a neighborhood. Our server had an Irish lilt and the wit to match. Awesome. “This restaurant is 30 years old. I love this pub. It is family owned and all I can say is the food is delicious and staff are friendly. I really enjoyed my steak tips with eggplant fries! Who knew eggplant fries could taste so good!? Wings were fresh and good and dessert was Irish soda bread with whiskey sauce! Yum! Love the pub ambiance. I look forward to returning soon!“

“Stopped in for a quick bite early Saturday afternoon. We got the buffalo wings to start. Salmon Caesars and killer nachos for entrees. Holy cow those nachos could feed a table of 10! The salmon was cooked to perfection and the ceasar bed was fresh and delicious, not too much dressing or croutons. We joked with our waiter to bring an army to help finish our meals and he politely went along with it. The owner even made an appearance to check on us and ensure we were enjoying ourselves.I was a little disappointed to not see more Irish faire on the menu but their selection was immense and their was plenty to satisfy anyone's palate, including your picky eaters. “Used to go there a lot. The owner would cash my paychecks for me and the bartenders would buy me a beer or two every other visit. They loved having repeat customers and fun. So many people to talk to once you spent some time. “We have been coming here since they opened, and the corned beef has been amazing. Tonight we had trouble eating it. It was stringy, chewy, and overly salty. I had the Reuben and had trouble biting into the sandwich. I switched to a steak knife and fork and still had a bit of trouble with cutting it. My wife had the corned beef and cabbage and said it was too salty to eat.“
