The best dive bar in Boston. This place is one of the last authentic neighborhood dive bars in the Boston area. The type of place where regular people hang out, play pool, play darts, friendly people mostly, good people. Great dive bar music is always playing, and the bar tenders are always joking around. Always a couple of Irish guys hanging out, having a pint. You will feel like part of the neighborhood. Great place.
7pm, new to the neighbourhood. I looked in the window and saw 12 guys standing around the bar. I turned to leave.. but then thought.. "What the hell, just pop in for one beer". Before I knew it, the spell of Michael's got me! I became the 13th guy and didn't end up leaving until 1:30am. PS - Thanks to the nice bartender that heated his dinner (fries & cod) in the microwave and shared it with me. Saved my life.
