Excellent sandwiches - love their Italian sandwich. I normally don't like Italian sandwiches (too much fake balsamic vinegar and often presliced) but this place is the real deal - sliced to order, fresh ingredients and the right bread. And the owners seem like a nice couple. Definitely check it out!

Just tried the Italian on a braided roll (after reading the reviews). It was EASILY the best Italian sub I’ve ever had, not to mention reasonably priced. If you’re considering trying P&K, don’t hesitate, I will definitely be coming back.

Great sandwich shop if you plan on taking out, or even doing a picnic. Had the meatball sandwich today, next time I plan on exploring the pastrami (steamed) and italian.

Walking in, I was a little unsure if the sandwich would be as good as I'd heard it is. This place is a very unassuming little market with a lot of clutter and a sparse deli in the back. I should not have worried. The Italian sandwich is EXCELLENT. The bread is incredible, the meats are delicious, and the toppings are in perfect balance with everything else.

Truly a neighborhood gem. I've lived around P&K for many years and I don't know why it've taken me so long to sing their praise. Perhaps I am being selfish and want the subs all for myself! =D For $12 bucks you've got a substantive, full-loaded sub and make one or two delicious meals out of it. While you wait, kibitz with your friendly neighbors, get a scratch-off, some chips, some sweets and a coffee. You will be not be disappointed.

I just ate the last half of the last half of an Italian sub from P+K Delicatessen. I want more.

Good sandwiches for a good price. There are no frills and the owner is a great guy to have a conversation with.

so good ! the menu is very basic and i got the italian on a braid roll after seeing the other reviews recommend it. glad i listened !! the bread was delicious and the sandwich was dense so $11 was not too shabby. there was only one guy working it so i would say don’t go if you need to get something super fast but i would 100% go back !

This might look like an old-school convenience store from the outside - which it partially is. There are coolers full of drinks and aisles full of snacks and packaged items, but the real activity centers around the deli at the rear. The menu is compact - about 15-20 sandwiches at most - but, given the steady stream of customers all day long, you instantly know that they're good at what they do.An Italian sub, for example, was well worth the $12, as it was densely packed with a delicious, savory cross-section of deli meats - not to mention a nice, large portion. Together with a bottle of Diet Coke from the fridge, it all made for some very delightful burping afterwards: exactly the desired result from a big, hearty lunch.Service is efficient and folksy, especially with regulars, so with all the Boston accents that you hear, whether from staffers or customers, you know this is a tried-and-true local favorite.

Is there a way I can give this place ten stars? A hundred? A million? Mark is the best- he cuts the meat once you order your sandwich, he's friendly, helpful, and just seems like an awesome person in general. My husband used to go here regularly about 20 years ago and these subs are to die for. So far I've tried the Turkey and the Bologna... I can't say which I liked better because both were delicious beyond words. The braided roll is *chef's kiss.*get a sub here NOW!

This place feels lost in time, an old school neighborhood deli that doesn't really exist anymore. They hold weird hours by normal standards, closing before dinner and weekdays only, but that's part of the charm! The sandwiches are utterly delicious and relatively cheap too.No place to sit and eat, but it's a deli, what do you expect? Plenty of benches at the parks near by or on the street.
