Absolutely terrible experience twice. Living on Clarendon Ave my partner and I were excited to make this a regular spot. The first time we went we stood by the door for a few minutes without being helped. Sat ourselves and were then approached by an angry bar tender who said we need to know what we want before we could sit. Then said we wanted drinks and he put the menus down on a barrel. Went to the bar to order and he said “I left the menus for you” because we were supposed to be served. Tried again tonight and after not being served or approached we sat for 5 minutes and no one came up to us so we left.

A kid at the bar is desperate for tips and will humiliate you if he THINKS you’re not tipping. How weird. Take your money and tips elsewhere :)

Such a nice and cozy bar! Great warm lighting, good drinks on tap and solid prices. I've come here for bar trivia on Tuesdays a couple of times and always have a blast! This bar makes me feel like I'm in the intro for How I Met Your Mother and that's everything to me.

Love this pub. Nice options on draft for an old burnout like me. I like Pilsners and they always have a couple or three nice ones. The food is solid especially the wings dry rub style. And the bartenders are a great bunch.

I used to come here over a decade ago, when it was a coworker's local (and much more grunge). Now I live around the corner, and it's my local. PJ's is a solid pub with some non-standard food offerings and decent bar selection.

Great pub! They have a great mix of classic Irish beers and hard to find craft brews.

Attended the SA vs Ireland RWC group stage match here. They show the rugby here which is great. Got here early but the place was packed, they had some Oktoberfest beers on special which was nice. Beer was good can't complain about that. Didn't get a chance to try the food but the Fish and Chips looked great and I am sure to try it next time. The ambiance was really something I won't forget. Being a Bok supporter in any pub in Boston you are almost always going to be outnumbered by Irish fans but everyone was well behaved and it was a fantastic environment to watch rugby. Really enjoyed my time here and will surely be back for the QFs/Semis and seeing the Boks lift the Trophy in the Final ;)

Friendly to me, even though I showed up soaking wet with no money and just wanted to dry out and read.
